My entrant for the ~MissOCPageant ... Round 2: Evening GownsLeola likes her clothing to have man-tailored details... she is just not a frilly kind of gal! So for her evening wear she chooses to sport a Top Hat and Cane with her Waistcoat inspired ensemble.
I've been using similar elements from her original outfit design in these Miss OC outfits... so even though she may be wearing different clothing you know which character she is.

ya know, even when Leola gets dressed up she still looks like she can kick most people's asses and quite frankly the expression and body language tell alot on this, makes her look like she'd prefer to lose the fancy skirt and go get a beer.

Yeah I've been working like a mad woman on stuff for that Art Show "offline"... but I wanted to get this done so I don't forfeit myself from the OC Pageant!!

I'm doing 4 pieces... I've got 3 done. Well, in theory anyway. I like to let them sit a bit then go back and look at them, to see if I need to tweak anything.
And there is almost always something!!

I used to avoid looking at my completed artwork as well, but if you don't you will never know what you are doing wrong.
I know its painful, but it really is the only way to get better!

You are totally right. Trust me, I do look back at stuff and pick it apart all like "Shoulda done this, this this and this" then next time... I try to do it. I try to not make the same mistake twice, but I always have time to make new ones!

I love the red on the skirt part, it really makes it stand out.
