LOL Nah I stayed up all night doing this, now I'll sleep haha. Them bat wings are hard, I don't think I wanna try those again soon lol I wonder what they're saying? That's a massive tree lolI was going for a damp look for the bark, but maybe I failed HA The clouds are a photo I took in Texas shooo. The guy in the tree is a Foosa C: (Finally figured it out lol)

AWESOME. I love bats, and that is just genius. I agree about bat wings - getting the translucency and highlights correct is a pain, photoshop magic or otherwise.

Yeah...trick our family used is (before google images) to tear out magazine pictures and kept them in HUGE binders. Over the generations/years, they got really big. But I still tend to use generic online photos...
I should learn to use refrences....I'm so bad at that...I guess I just don't feel right - like, I'm cheating at being a better artist then I actually am...but that's dumb, and I should use them...

My sister was so excited to see this. The first thing she screamed was "Fruit Bat?? No, Flying Fox woah!" X3 She's 8, and loves her some bats. Amazing work as always, and I adore that twisted tree.

That actually looks a lot more like a fossa/foosa to me than a bush-tailed possum.

That tree... that tree makes me REALLY HAPPY. I just adore the texture of it, the whorls and the vines that look like a glow running in its veins.

I think that the creature in the back looks more like a fossa: [link] But he's cute none-the-less! Love the pinkish nose and the blue eyes. The transparency effect on the fox's wings is beautifully done, too.
