I'm happy with this one...
I put a lot of time in it and I think it was worth it... I had some problems with face because it's much smaller than what I usually draw, so it's a bit different from the reference pic... Speaking about a reference... Wonderful deserves my big thank you!!! She gave me permission to use her amazingly beautiful picture [link]

very sexy!! nicely detailed, and well aquired the expression of a girl (abandoned?) in the rain, maybe by a boyfriend after using her (would explain the few clothing) or by her father after seeing her with her boyfriend and kicking her out of the house...

sorry, i must've associated gray(sad) and alone in the rain and the expression gave me the idea of dumped or abandoned

About a month ago I started using paper which I usually used for charchoal drawings, it's very textured but still ok to work with, 200g/m2, and I'm not sure about size, but I cut it into 6 few inches bigger than A4!

It's the bold lines in places like the hair and the grain. I like the look of the grain, and I was wondering what it was so I may use it later

That's a hard question... I find my inspiration in many many different things... In what's going on in my life, or in other peoples lives, in beautiful faces, someone elses art, movies, in my dreams, everything can be an inspiration! And biggest motivation is dA

i WISH i could draw well enough to draw my dreams. vivid dreams i have! i'd probably be labled insane if i did though! but what truly good artist isn't huh? I ask because it's always interesting to know what brings others of such skill motivation and inspiration to do what they do! you being one of them.

Sure I do!!! Lots of my old drawings are made with charcoal, and I often use it in combination with pencils so I could get bigger contrast and darker areas, and my recent drawing Keeping A Secret is my first onlhy charcoal portrait

i LOVE charcoal, but i'm in a pretty bad slump right now where nothing is coming together as i am hoping. i have started four or five drawings, but have gotten so frustrated with them that i just stop...one i actually burned cause i was THAT upset with it...but, it's me being upset with me not the drawings...i might try a mixture of charcoal and graphite as you mentioned though.
