Great job with this.
Can see the storm clouds coming in.

Artrage is pretty good, if I did not get Painter I would still use artrage.

My god, I love those colors. I don't know, i've always been partial to gray, black and yellow. The depth of this piece is awesome. I love.

you are too good to my piece - your words really make me happy, as I highly value your judgement - you know it
this one is most likely to be my last submission in this site, as I am not gonna agree on the new terms dA requires for submitting - I think we Artists have no longer any kind of control, and I'd hate to see one day any portion or hole image of mine used for, say, promoting a shark's fins soup - anyway, thank you for your comment, I deeply appreciated it

This ArtRage painting says a lot with just two colors...I can't help but feel the looseness of the brushstrokes that seems to speak of the carefree nature of the yellow fields, and everything looks anchored by the lone pole, the structure of stability.

thank you dear squidink!
my work is honoured to be gifted with your deep and insightful comment!
I'm very happy for your appreciation, as I love this rough style, but I know it's not so popular - so I'm happy any time someone who I value shows appreciation for it!

the simplicity is absolutely wonderful, YOU HAVE TO JOIN THE OEKAKI! it is dead and needs some love... and you would have a ball on there. added this to my favs because it is one of your best, it's not realistic but it sure has alot of feeling and that je n'ai ce quoi

sharkcloud In reply to DRKPR0PH3T [2006-01-16 12:57:24 +0000 UTC]

wow, your words make me feel so good! I'm very glad you appreciate this one so much, thank you!
as for joining the Oekaki site, I would really like to, but my unsteady health conditions don't allow me to do so - I have such a hard time in doing the few I'm doing right now, I couldn't operate in real time - let's hope I'll get better in a short time, then I'll be happy to join in that beautiful, stimulating site!
again, thanks a lot for your appreciation

have you tried just grabbing an easel and some paint driving out to the middle of nowhere and painting? once when i was sick i went outside and just sat drawing and it helped me a bit. its the fresh air and the absence of air pollutants i think... but please get better, it worries me

sharkcloud In reply to DRKPR0PH3T [2006-01-19 13:19:43 +0000 UTC]

well, at the present time to go out to the middle of nowhere and paint would be pure madness - I would get icicles on my brushes, and I would get a bad pneumonia in half an hour!
anyway, it would be the same - my problem is extreme weakness, due to chemotherapy - nothing uncommon, just have to cope with it
...but I promise I WILL get better!

It's hard to believe you made that with a program because it DOES look like a real painting. Very well done my friend.

thank you my dear Myne!
I think you would enjoy that simple yet so effective program - if you go to my page, you'll find the link to the free download in my ShoutBoard, if you'd care to give it a try

Augh, I have to get used to that now...Storms and winds. >_>

But this is a good reminder of that. lol.

sharkcloud In reply to BardTherony [2006-01-14 19:32:57 +0000 UTC]

why do you have to get used to storms and winds - did you move to some windy area?

Yep...I now can have hurricanes and tornadoes.

This was made entirely with ArtRage? Wow, I would at least have to spruce it up a little in Photoshop if it were me. To me, it looks like you took a real painting and scanned it or something!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sharkcloud In reply to ithasnosoul [2006-01-14 16:20:46 +0000 UTC]

now that you make me think about it - no, the signature is a separate layer added with PhotoShop
but the picture is all ArtRage (tryin' to hide it, but getting proud... )
thank you for appreciating it!
