Designed by Clan Diamond Shark for trade to the other Inner Sphere Clans, the Acheron was a mix of high and low tech advancements. The only advanced materials that went into its construction was an XL engine, this left lots of room for equipment and cooling systems. A quad-Mech turret was installed and shielded by extra layers of armour and this would be a feature on all the variants of the Acheron, in that all featured a turret mount for maximum flexibility.
A quartet of jump-jets were fitted to let the Mech leap up to 120 meters at a time, each was mounted with a vectored thrust nozzle to direct the jets and help keep the mech stable as it jumped. These had to be fitted after several failures with the original leg mounted jets.

A full Trinary of these Mech's would be gifted to the Black Guard on Tukkayid and they would become common sights round the new capital of the Clans.
