I was going to comment on Ch 01 but I just wanted to keep reading! I like the way you depicted the emotions concerning Mercer and what she overheard - that the cloud of feelings followed her on the trip. Even if there is the odd grammar mistake, the attention and love you pay to the characters and developments keeps me reading. I will definitely read more...It also makes me want to play some Skyrim. Haha!

THOMAS!!!   (don't worry, I've had my shots)
I'm so glad you're enjoying it!

Yeah, the poor girl...   I feel like such a [synonym for a female dog] sometimes for what I put my characters through. Or maybe I am just a sadist with an overly developed sense of conscience? Whatever it is, I hide myself behind the word 'writer' because otherwise I might end up institutionalized.     Despite all of that I really enjoy the process of bringing out their characters and personalities. Make them human... or elvish, depending on the shape of their ears and such.

Oh and when you spot something grammatical that makes you cringe or makes me look like an even bigger absolute idiot; don't feel hesitant to tell me. I love feedback and I love killing typos and clean up everything...

Hahaha, that's amazing. I'd love to hear about your Skyrim experiences when you play it, and I will be certainly curious about your character.  I looked for Fallout on the Steam sale, but I never spotted it (or most likely overlooked it   ) and ended up buying Dishonored. Also Bethesda, and with many options to 'make your own decisions' but not an open world. It certainly isn't a 'beautiful' game when you are used to high res modded Skyrim, but I've enjoyed it.

What kind of story would it be if you didn't put them through these things? That's the point of it, no? Spinning imaginary lives that feel real where no one actually gets hurt but we can enjoy (or cry over) its reality in our mind. It doesn't make you any kind of dog, even if you killed them off. As long as you develop it how you see fit and keep that tension. I'm on chapter 11 now and there hasn't been a time yet where I felt like it was filler (not that I mind filler, just not too much of it) or like the story was stagnating. Institutionalized? Bah! Fuck that propaganda. I think that falling on fringe is half the reason we do good work. Plus, I've been in a bit of a slump this week. It's nothing too bad, just poor habits - letting my sleep cycle edge later and later because I wasn't on the schedule at work for a couple weeks. I didn't do a whole lot and started to feel crappy about mysef. One thing that's helped in the past couple days is reading Aronansa...Being brought into your world made me feel better about mine in a way. I think it's partly because I love to read fiction and I haven't done it much lately. Its gotten my wheels turning a bit and the feeling of wanting to read more and imagining it when I'm not reading is SUCH a good feeling. So...If you're crazy, I don't want you to be sane! Selfish, I know...

About the grammar stuff...I would gladly help you assassinate typos and whip grammar into shape. Do you have a preference when it comes to which stuff you would like attention on? Like, older stuff, newer stuff. I figure you maybe would want a focus on polishing newer, or older stuff. Anyway, while I know you appreciate help with it, I wont try to throw too much at once. I imagine theres a line between thanks for helping me kill mistakes and STOP BUTCHERING MY STORY. Hahaha

I'm not sure why you couldn't see Fallout on the sale. Maybe it wasn't featured. Are you able to find it at all? I'm going to probably get Skyrim for my laptop seeing as I don't have a console anymore. If I play again and my character is interesting at all I will mention them. For now, I still have another character to work on...

Thank you, so very much! Sorry to hear you've been feeling a little down, so first of all... comet glomp!   Not just for all your kind words but even more because you deserve one and I hope it will make you feel better! Sorry, if I broke a rib in the process though...  impact can get a little severe when you enter the Earth's atmosphere again, gravity and such.

I'm really happy my writings made you feel a little better. Aronansa, writing the story, has been almost therapeutic to me. So to hear that my writings are helpful to other people, that is really the best type of compliment anyone could give me. And that my insanity is as useful as that it is hilarious.

Ohhh, I would eagerly accept any type of help you're able and willing to offer.   You have my email and I welcome whatever you think needs mending. Whether it concerns older chapters or more recent ones. When I recognize the errors and fuck ups that I've made and/or still make, I can also start fixing them in other chapters.  I'm sure there will be moments where I will be facepalming over things whilst muttering to myself; "Oh my gawds! What whas I drinking erh... thinking that I wrote that and made such a stupid blunder."  But in the end it only helps me to improve my art and to become a better writer, with better skills. I know we both are very passionate about our own work and that feels good to me because I know my story is in safe and respectful hands with you.

Skyrim on pc or laptop is the best way to play it IMO. So beautiful!   I would never want to miss my ENB, armor, texture and immersive gameplay mods anymore.

Hi Leandra :3

It's been a week and a bit. I was kept on at work but they moved me to the front counter as a web sales person. I'm not that confident in it yet but I'm learning.

I've been reading A Song of Ice and Fire this week. I'm so glad to be reading pretty much every day again. My fan-fic is simmering for now because it's definitely true that reading a lot sharpens your writing and I'd rather get into the thick of that first. Today I decided to get back into some Aronansa, though So, I will be reading chapters tonight.

The comet glomp...I love that so much! Hahaha...So well done for such a small GIF. Especially the re-entry and the kinetic blast...Right up my alley! I saw it days ago but it made me laugh out loud.

I won't be too thourough in the 'edit' stuff right off. I more want to read the story and come back to it. But, if I notice anything that stands out I will make a mention. Later on I'll do the email thing and see what you think. I have quite a few things on the go, or at least things I want to do, and I kind of bounce between them, so just so you know I will be inconsistent at times.

Also...Thank you so much for all the comments you left on my deviations. It means a lot to me and I will go through those shortly and respond. I'm glad you could enjoy them. I hope to post some new stuff in the near future.

I'd go on about stuff I'm half-assedly working at but I would rather show than tell, when the time comes. I hope you're well.

Hiiii!   don't worry... that's just the espresso doing its job.

Oh, that's quite a change indeed. I hope you'll get used to your new tasks soon. I'm sure it feels more comfortable when you've got the hang of it.

I'm really eager to start on that series. I pretty much worship GOT and I've read some snippets of the actual writings. As much as I like to write I'm glad my reading has found its way back into my schedule. (makes it sound as if she actually has a 'schedule' instead of activities in a sea of scatterbrain-ness) It is such a great pastime and you are totally right about how reading has a positive effect on writing. Even if it is just by pointing you at the things you want to avoid at all costs.

I've been sick these lasts days and I figured I could use that time of feeling useless in bed by trying out one of my unread books. I picked a big fantasy novel that had promising reviews on the cover... I'm glad I purchased it in a second-hand bookstore for a mere €2,50. I'm also glad I pushed myself reading as far as I did. (page 50 I believe) Now I know what things I am definitely going to avoid with the same level of devotion as if I was to avoid the pneumonic plague.
Ahaha, yeah I so love that comet glomp-thingy! It is also a lot more user-friendly than many other emotes that are on my laugh-list   (yes that thing will eventually snap)

Take your time. I've decided that I am going to be a part of the DA-furniture so I'm not going anywhere. I'm thrilled you've been enjoying the story and I hope it will continue to so. And bounce as much as you like, I know how it feels  when you have a gazillion things to do but not enough RAM to do everything and no minions to take over some of the workload. Just go with the flow...

My pleasure! I realized most of my favs were on your most recent pieces. But the right side showed me so much pretty stuff that I figured it was best to just open up your gallery and start at page one. And I bet I've lost count plenty of times in between... I'm eager to see what you've been working on.

Take your time with everything and take care!

First of all: I hate Ragnar the Red!

I’ve always disliked Blackbriar so I very much approve of this rift between her and Mercer that becomes apparent in the beginning. My Khajiit has entertained thoughts of killing her, but she’s not a murderer.

I did find it odd that they sent Aronansa to Ulfric’s seat of power! Risky!

Clever use of the spider venom.

They both seem to know their trade well enough, but it is clear that both thieves are still inexperienced at this point. Aronansa panicked immediately when Vipir wasn’t there and ended up murdering someone. Leaving room for them to grow is a good thing though. And what is this intriguing necklace she found? Enchanted at all? I hope so!

Pooooor Ragnar, loses his head and his charm all together.

Maven... yuk! I dislike that woman, I always hated that arrogant tone in her voice in the game and I hate her even more since I started writing and she became a character.

Yeah, she was their best choice when it came to physique and skill but it certainly was not risk-free. Then again, her 'big brother' is willing to die and kill for her.

Thanks! I like playing around with little brainfarts and insert them here and there.

Inexperienced... that could be a possibility. Or maybe they have a lot on their mind and it blurrs their efficiency.   Not to mention that it was a rather difficult task. Especially when you compare it to stealing stuffed animals for Delvin's 'cold an lonely nights.'

KingCoin In reply to Sharquelle [2014-05-27 22:46:10 +0000 UTC]

Inexperienced is just the impression I got. She seemed like she very quickly panicked when Vipir wasn't right there. And Vipir just sounded very young in this one, perhaps it wasn't your intention.

Lucky. I think I need to start having other people do my comics so I have someone to spoil everything to. (My husband doesn't even know everything that goes on in my comic until it's posted. And, pretty much, he only knows the lines/dialogue that I really impress myself with. And promptly forgets them.   )
