This took way too long o_o But you know what? It was fun! I don't care if it's fanart! Thanks to for telling me about this.

This is for 's original character tournament. The idea was to make a trainer character and a Pokemon team. Here's the stats on them!

Trainer: Jillian Jacobs
Bio: Jillian grew up on Cinnabar Island. Her favorite thing to do, despite her parent's warnings, was to take trips up to the mouth of the volcano. She used to be very shy and withdrawn, often playing by herself, until she received a Growlithe puppy for her 12th birthday. The two became inseparable almost instantly. Jillian named her new best friend Nami, and together they would go to the park around the corner where the other kids brought their Pokemon to play.

Soon, Jillian became interested in Pokemon battles. Nami was always scuffling with the other Pokemon belonging to her new friends, and seemed to really enjoy doing so. The next few years found them both at the same park after school, playing and battling to get stronger.

One day, an unfamiliar boy about Jillian's age brought his Houndour to the park. Nami saw this new Pokemon and immediately engaged in a battle. As the the two Pokemon dashed around the park together, Jillian noticed something odd about this Houndour. It was much more of a blue color than the usual charcoal-colored coat she was used to seeing. Gathering her courage, she went over to introduce herself and ask the boy why it looked different.

"You mean Riley? He's what's called a shiny Pokemon. Shiny Pokemon are often much differently colored than the usual Pokemon," the boy named Westley responded with a smile.

"Shiny Pokemon... I have never seen one before," Jillian admitted.

"I'm not surprised. Most people haven't. They are incredibly rare. My grandfather is a pro at using a Poke-radar, so he managed to find Riley for me and gave him to me a few years ago."

Jillian's eyes lit up. "You mean, if I got a Poke-radar, I could find one, too?!"

"Haha, maybe! I'm not sure how it works, myself. If I can get in touch with my grandfather, I'll ask him for you. Do you often come here?"

"Yes! Nearly every day after school! If you could ask him, that would be great!"

Westley agreed, and whistled for Riley who was panting heavily after his chase with Nami. Jillian watched the two of them leave, and she could barely contain her excitement. If only she could get her hands on a Poke-radar, she too could find her own super rare Pokemon. With Nami's help, nothing could stop her!

And it didn't! Jillian saved up her money, and with helpful info from her new friend Westley, she finally got her coveted Poke-radar. Ever since then, she spent countless hours mastering the complicated method of how to use the radar to find the elusive shiny Pokemon. Her first was a Ponyta she named Spitfire, and then came her most reliable Pokemon, Kirin. After a friend informed her of the Ohana Island competition, she chose her best fighters and headed straight there!

Pokemon:
Rikki: Rikki was one of the first Pokemon Jillian ever caught. While trying to figure out the Poke-radar, a Caterpie kept breaking her chains and laughing at her. Finally, Jillian fought with the sadistic creature and caught him to keep him out of the way. She tried to release him after she caught Spitfire, but he refused to leave. She decided to bring him along and train him into a Butterfree. She couldn't have been happier with how he turned out! Her most loyal Pokemon, Rikki is happy, strong, and one of the sweetest Pokemon she has ever raised!

Musette: Musette was a pain to capture. Jillian loves her to death, but almost threw a tantrum every time she dodged her Poke-radar. A trickster and flirt, Musette loves to play games, and kept Jillian awake several nights in a row before her capture. She is one sassy girl, but has a sweet side that only comes out when Jillian is alone.

Skuff: One of Jillian's most prized Pokemon. Although he isn't shiny, he is brave and confident, and has won her several difficult battles. Often carrying her from place to place, Skuff loves nothing more than to lend a helping hand, or battle a strong foe.

Kirin: Since Girafarigs are her favorite Pokemon, Kirin has a special place in Jillian's heart, right next to Nami. Being her second successful shiny capture only adds to his charm in her eyes. He is shy and quiet, but loves a good battle. He is also a reliable alarm clock, often nudging Jillian awake in the morning with his soft, blue nose when it is time for breakfast.

Buuchi: A very quirky and odd Pokemon, Buuchi loves to stare at Jillian and the other Pokemon with a vacant look. Jillian can't help loving him since he often makes everyone laugh with his spastic behavior. His unusually high speed makes him an indispensable part of the team.

Pogo: Pogo is Jillian's little baby. She tends to coddle him more than he likes. Even so, Pogo loves the attention and praise. A playful, and loyal little guy, he has pushed past his limits on several occasions to obtain victory.
