Description
I started this a long time ago, before I even joined DA.. but only recently finished it. And then i noticed there was a terrible line going down the page around 2/3rd, wow. Gross. I can't believe i let that slip >_>. Oh well, deal with it I guess D:
I categorize my influences into three types:
- Things that inspired me to draw in the first place
- Amazing people I look up to
- Styles I steal from
Can you guess which belongs to which? Tee hee. Though of course there's a lot of cross over between 2/3, and I don't LITERALLY mean steal
And links to all the artists because they're awesome:
Hyung Tae Kim [link]
Mucha [link]
Nivbed [link]
`Wen-M
John Singer Sargent [link]
=Michelle84
~syosa
=firstfear
Aoin [link]
Eh Originally I was gonna write about how each one influenced me but clearly no one reads these and i'm super lazy~

Why do people love Sailor Moon so much? Did I miss something? I watched a little of it on Toonami as a kid, but I never got that into it. Lot's of people love it so I must've missed something!

why do people like anything so much? It speaks to them on some level, maybe it didn't speak to you but that doesn't mean it doesn't speak to others? :/

John Singer and Mucha!
Good to see some older artist in these influence maps.
P.S. Yes, this piece is old, but sometimes I like to check old works of people.

Instead of "steal" you could have said "borrow" but people will know what you mean.
I am curious to know how each one influenced you, but if you can't be bothered to elaborate on it that's understandable I'm pretty lazy too, you see

When i started this i had a lot of things to say but over time i just realized how cheesy and self absorbed it was, so even thinking about typing it seems silly to me XD. I'll say that pokemon and sailormoon were the ones that got me to draw in the first place though, hahaha

Oh my god, I know exactly what you mean. When I was doing my degree, whenever we submitted a creative piece we had to write an essay on WHY and HOW we came to write it, and what our influences were. I hated writing those essays, there's no way to avoid sounding either really cheesy or really arrogant in them
So yeah, I don't blame you for not wanting to do it

Hahaha.. we had to do that kind of stuff for my major, except in stead of written it was spoken to the panel. It's a fine line between explanation and pretension, I find XD
