Description
Finally finished...I haven't really been doing much pencil work, not since I have gotten my hands onto my wonderful tablet. I forgot how much fun and feeling of accomplishment comes with a completed penciled piece. This took me a total time of 9 hours, which was broken up into periods of 5 minutes , 2 minutes, and half hours. I didn't want to rush it, and looking at some of my recent posts, I feel like I'm not giving my pieces the total time they deserve.
I always bitch about my muse and how she never seems to be around when I need her. So to coax her back, I illustrated this interpretation of what I feel like when my muse grabs on to me at full tilt. When she's gone, she's hard to find, but when she's attached....she doesn't let go. It's a mutualistic parasite. I have no complaints
Noted: It is a male version above my cranium. But trust me, she is all woman

How do these awesome things come into your mind?? Much less, how do you transfer them onto paper??
I'm going to travel to Ohio to worship the ground to walk on.

I can relate 100% with that artist's comment.
I also agree, this would look really cool on a guitar. Maybe just he skull and the stuff coming out of it. (No little person on top of the head.) If you did that on a 5-string bass, I'd probably sell mine just to buy that.

That would be really cool on either a guitar case or on the back of a guitar.

This is wonderful; I *love* all of the different textures! It's also extremely bold for a pencil piece; I want to work more contrast into my pencil work, and this is very inspiring.

Beautiful
It's funny how I started drawing. There was this Nesquick contest, and you were supposed to draw your own Pokemon for it. I was very little, and I decided to make hundreds of them. Kay, the contest deadline is over, and I keep drawing. Been drawing monsters for five years, and I then considered, someday, to draw a human being! I was interested in manga, I basically drew only that. Now I don't draw much, but when I try I can end up doing pretty darn good things.

How long did it take you, to gain these awesome skills?
And what do you learn from?
Unless its a natural talent...

How long lol? I have been drawing since I was a toddler and my days in school were where I really developed a lot of my ability. My first drawing was an anklosaurus because of his bony tail and from there I just scribbled out a lot of dinosaurs. My dad can draw but he hasn't touched a pencil to paper for almost 30 years, but I bet he could still hand my ass to me in a draw off.
I think anyone can be a great artist if they put the time into it. I still got another 30-40 more years before I think I'll be able to look at my stuff and truly admire it. Now creativity....that baby is tricky.

Damn we have something in common. I've been drawing since I was young as well. Drawing dinosaurs, sadly...compared to you. I stopped for a long ass time. But once I finally got a computer into my room. I started looking at sites like these. Soon I stumbled upon this site, just kept being amazed on all the great talent (you). I just told myself to get myself back on track. Happened only a few months ago, and my drawing ability has been growing rapidly.
And just like you, I also have a dad that could very much kick my ass. He can draw people and other things almost perfectly.
Two of a kind...
