Description
Colored version of a Matt Smith page I did.I changed the third panel ( See the original version here ) before I inked this because...well, I didn't like it.

Yeah. It's better this way I think. Except you don't get a good establishing shot of Pond. But it's a better one of The Doctor.

i have only seen the one that had the vampire water creatures which was amazing!
they put it on at 6pm on Saturdays, but its so hot and sunny here right now (and that's so rare) we are always out doing something while we can!
I have them all recorded though, really looking forward to the Stonehenge one, that is just down the road from me

Oh you know me Emma, I've always loved Doctor Who. I'm enjoying Smith. He's very reminiscent of earlier Doctors and at times has reminded me alternately of Hartnell, Troughton and Pertwee. He certainly brings his own bits to the role as well. I'm hoping he stays t it for the next few years. The Van Gogh episode was probably my favorite this year. Very well done.

Agreed about the likenesses. How do you go about deciding how you'll draw them? Do you find likenesses difficult? Do you go through a skethathon trying to get them down? Or are you, like some, a dabhand at getting them on first goes? Do screenshots help?

I use a lot of reference. I've worked on several licensed comics in the last few years and I try to get as close as I can to the actors. When I was going to college I worked at the Mall of America (Yes, I know *sigh*)doing caricatures which helped me develop an eye for likenesses. I've been doing commercial art and traditional 2D animation for several years now and the turnaround time is generally very tight so that increased my speed. It's also a bit of trial and error. As I say in the description; I re-drew the third panel because I didn't think the pencils looked enough like Matt Smith. Screen shots definitely help. Although, I should probably just say I'm debhand and never admit that it's actually a lot of work and I just make look it easy
