Name: Shay Mythil
Age: Protects his youth, so doesn't say. He's 28.
Gender: Male, usually.
Eyes: Bright blue, unusual for elves.
Appearance: Pale skin, dark red hair, blue inside-buttoned tunic with loose dark black collar, dark blue sash (bag of holding tucked inside storing his gold and loot) brown khaki pants and dark brown ankle-boots.
Species: Elf.
Inanimate: In the mornings. He hates waking up, even though elves don't sleep.
Cup: Half-empty.
IQ: In terms of booksmarts he's lacking, but makes full use of his acquired street knowledge and sharp common sense. Picks up a multitude of random knowledge. At moments he's a genius, other times he uses his eloquence to mask his uncertainty. Usually doesn't speak at all if he's unsure of an issue, but is tenacious at proving his point when he's right.
Abilities:
-- Myrtek Arts (drain and acquire powers)
-- High Bluff Skill. He can lie and cheat his way out of any situation.
-- Resourcefulness. Makes good use of his surroundings and seemingly useless items.
Special Attack:

-- Drain Magic (via Myrtek Arts)
-- Chimera (via Myrtek Arts) Powers from monsters can turn him into a beast, from sultry succubus to fiends of nightmare.
-- Beguiling Deception. Uses his high bluff skill to deceive enemies. Goes through enormous effort to stick to his lies.
Weaknesses:
-- His Myrtek Arts always consume mana, so if prevented from casting spells he can't even mimic physical powers. Falls back on Beguiling Deception and Resourcefulness when all else fails.
-- Under certain triggers, stolen souls will transform him into the monster he slowly becomes. His mind and personality suffer. Soul magic (dark-class magic) can cure the effect. (Currently in the IGTA continuity he has no souls)
Equipment:
Collects magic items, but at this time he doesn't have any on his person. Inside his bag of holding he carries a ton of useless loot, just in case. His Resourcefulness skill comes in handy here.
Minions:
Calls on the citizens of Kaelriyu within his timeline for assistance!
Malleus, Raye, CJ, Catherine, Zelda, Drew, Ardent, and Butler.

I'll be joining forces with as a mercenary. Mercenary? Well, I'm keen on taking orders, and I am getting payment -- the skills of my fallen enemies! It only seemed appropriate.
Yes I know, I'm not a REAL Myrtek, but I know their techniques, and was inaugurated by my teacher. Clan Silvera no less! Huh? It's some tribe of Myrtek, I don't know the details. They're practically extinct so it doesn't matter.
What a delight that I'm joining with the Blue Team! Blue is one of the colors important to the Myrtek, along with silver. Blue represents endless possibility and potential, symbolized also by the blue sky and sea that surround us. Silver represents our teachings to mirror that potential. In combat, we mirror mages utilize the skills, spells, and supernatural powers of our foes! To become our enemy is to know their weakness, and exploit it!
In any case, I'm not aggressive, but if you have some interesting magical or supernatural powers, you'll probably run into me! And of course if you don't, if you try to take me on your not-interesting powers will join my current actually-interesting powers!

Woo, long press release. He can go on, can't he? Anyway, here are some details for those that don't know:
1) By draining the energy of anyone he can see without any obstacle in the way, he can learn the abilities his target has. Energy describes the meta that is expended to perform great feats of strength, spell, or supernatural, not derived from any equipment.
2) Though he does have nearly unlimited magic, if he uses magic too much in a short time period, the stress causes his body to change to look similar to the person who's power he just used. In this form, he can only use the powers from that form, and to change back he must rest at a time in which his mana has fully recovered. That said, he must refrain from using his powers if he wishes to change back in a timely manner.
3) His sister used him as a guinea pig for her alchemy practice, so he developed a high resistance to potions, poisons, and various alchemical compounds not utilizing soul or spell infusion (typical potions brewed by sorcerers, as well as supernatural poisons such as lyconthropy or vampirism take effect normally -- only alchemical concoctions are weak against him)
Oh, and the rune in the background? I guess its not TOO much of a spoiler. It's one of the 12 elemental runes of Kaelriyu. This one means magic, meta, supernatural power, etc. It basically describes the not fully understood energy that produces unnatural effects. The Myrtek techniques are derived from the study of mana magic, represented by this rune, and so it has become a sort of unifying symbol among them.
Hmm... I think that's about it. Representing Idiot's Guide to Adventuring , he comes pre-loaded with a host of skills:
Ami's Barrier & Telekinesis spells
-- Barrier blocks physical damage from the direction it faces. Strong attacks break through, buffered slightly
-- Telekinesis moves objects slowly of about 30lbs or less
Malleus's Power Axe technique
-- Requires an axe. Reduced-cost version of Power Attack
CJ's Haste spell
-- Triples movement speed and reaction time. Very taxing, and can't be used in reaction to dodge.
Raye's Jolt & Bolt spells
-- Jolt deals minor lightning damage. Requires line of effect.
-- Bolt deals average lightning damage. Requires line of effect directly above.
Catherine's Admixture technique (on-the-fly alchemy)
-- Requires ingredients. Shay doesn't carry any normally.
