Description
This is a pencil sketch I did a while ago now, but I still like it, and have never before put the full picture on the internet. So, here it is. The front unicorn is the stallion and the one behind him is a mare.Related content

A really wonderful piece of art. I like the way the mane turned out because that's the part I myself have the most problems with. And the eyes are so wonderful and filled with emotion.... sigh. But I still think they both look quite female

Thank you. The bulk of the stallion's neck was supposed to be his most masculine feature, but that may not be done very well.

That is beautifull. I love the eyes and the manes, I just wanna hug 'em. Your shading is pretty goo, I can only really shade with a tablet. Urgh. Anyway, good job

I love the flowy hair!! They are both very pretty. I think this would look awsome colored, but I understand old drawings staying in the drawer I have a tendency of not wanting to touch something after I have decided it is "done"...

Thanks. Yeah, once its "done" its done. I seem to take too much time to finish stuff in the first place. I would never finish anything if I kept pulling out old stuff. *is a lazy procrastinator*

I absolutely love this! I am a big crazy horse lover and this sketch has amazing detail
. I was wondering, would you let me use this for a tattoo design??? I had an idea for a side head shot of a horse but this is just brilliant. If not I totally understand. Just let me know.

Well, I'm not really a tatoo fan, so I'd probably have to say I prefer not, but thanks, I'm glad you like it.

Iron: It rocks I used to be really good at horses, but I recently gave up on them for dragons, and now when I draw horses they suck. Anyways, that rocks and stuff... yah.

Thanks! Its too bad you have troubles with drawing horses now. Animals (including dragons and other mythological creatures) used to be the only thing I drew for the longest time, but usually when I don't draw them for a while and then come back to it, I find that with just a little review I can draw them even better than before.

Cool! I love really awesome drawings just done in pencil! it shows what cool stuff you can do.
Q:How long do you reckon that took you?
Q:Have you read many books and stuff with unicorns in them?
Some of them I've read have unicorns as really being just a horse with a 'really' sharp horn in its head, and nothing more. So if it's an angry horse it'll just rip up anyone who comes into it's territory! I thought that was cool.

For most of my life, I only drew in pencil, I didn't have access to anything more except during art class, so I really love pencil. I'm not sure how long this pic took, cause I have this nasty habbit of putting things down half finished and not picking them back up for a year or more (doesn't happen all the time, but in this case, it did). The origional concept for this picture is more than ten years old.
I have read a few books with unicorns, but they were always magical creatures, often with the ability to communicate. I would imagine that a unicorn could be very dangerous, magical or not.

Amazing lines, Annette ^_^ if this were my picture, I would be seriously tempted to color it

Yeah, but I'm not that good at doing the coloring from a picture like this on the computer like you are. It would take so much work, I think I am just fine with keeping it a pencil sketch for the time being.

Well, that one didn't get scanned onto the computer as a pencil sketch, it was black and white, which made the coloring easier.
