Description
Traditional mixed-media drawing of some Tulip flowers. I received my new Polychromos, & gave them a try with this drawing. These pencils aren't too bad. ... ...ok, that was an understatement. These pencils are so amazing!! Anyway, this whole color thing is still very new to me, & I haven't got the hang of blending or choosing the right ones yet. It's nowhere near perfect, but this drawing turned out better than I was expecting...Tools: Strathmore Smooth Bristol Paper (drawing size: 4.5x7in.) Faber-Castell Polychromos Color Pencils, Prismacolor pencil, marker, kneaded eraser & Tombow Mono Zero eraser.
Time: 8.5 hours.

Amazing! I too am using polychromos, i'd just like to ask what you are using to get the white to show up? My white faber castelle polychromos pencil doesnt show up like this at all?! Maybe im usng the wrong paper :/ lol

White...are you referring to the highlights/shine on the flowers? Because I can tell you that I didn't use a white pencil for that. I left it uncolored, expect for adding just a pinch of light pink (on the flowers), & a bit of light green (on the highlight of the stems). So it's not a white pencil I used for this, it's the white paper.
