Colonel Dogriz R'kat was a once pacifistic Bith that like many of his people, electing vocal Senate members who pushed for galactic disarmament. While they attempted to remain neutral during the Separatist Crisis they were eventually coerced into supporting the Confederacy of Independent Systems against the Republic by Confederate leader Count Dooku. The Clone Wars and the rise of the Galactic Empire made the Bith uneasy about conditions in the rest of the galaxy, with most Bith choosing to wait out the dark times within Clak'dor VII's sealed cities. Some however like the passionate flute player Dogriz R'kat realized after the Grand Army of the Republic's Invasion of Geonosis and the beginning of the Clone Wars that the Republic would simply force it's will upon them if they remained neutral and disarmed and openly joined the organic forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. A former engineer and data analyst, thanks to his intelligence Dogriz R'kat had natural technical skills made him a skilled strategist and ideal leader for the Separatist Battle Droid Army. When Count Dooku betrayed Darth Sidious aboard the Invisible Hand during the Battle of Druscant and the Separatists started their liberation of the Outer Rim, Mid Rim and Inner Rim, Colonel Dogriz R'kat fought in the south of the Galaxy. First against the Galactic Republic during Operation Blood Phoenix, stopping their push southwards, then the Imperialists under Tarkin and later the Imperial Remnant of the nearby Eriadu Authority, as their capital world Eriadu was the next planet on the Rimma Trade Route northwards. This meant that for most of the war against the Imperials, Colonel Dogriz R'kat was directly at the frontlines, even when a peace deal between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems was signed, but the war between the Republic-Imperials and the Confederacy-Imperials continued.
Putting the Bith technical expertise at the service of the Confederate war machine, Colonel Dogriz R'kat and others helped prepare the operations against the Imperial Remnants in the South of the Galaxy and when the Separatists had prepared their forces he was among the troops that pushed forward against Eriadu, engaging with the Imperials in a huge space battle. There the superior numbers of Confederate fighters and bombers swarmed the major Imperial ships who tried to use their newest Electro Magnetic Pulse torpedoes to deal with them the best they could but were simply too outnumbered. During this space battle Colonel Dogriz R'kat landed Separatist organic forces alongside battle droids and fought under Supreme Commander Atticus Farstar to capture the world from the Imperial tyrants. He would loose a hand liberating Eriadu in the process and arresting many of the human military-industrial leadership like the Tarkin family for treason against the former Republic and treason against the Confederacy alike. Found guilty most of Wilhuff Tarkin's family and the other humanocentric leadership were found guilty by the court and judges, blaming the whole process to be a farce made up by non-human aliens. Nearly all of them were later killed, leading to a much more fierce resistance from the Imperials against the Separatist in the Bacta War, while some Imperial remnant forces even capitulated out of their own free will against Republic forces who treated them much better and not outright gave them the death penalty for treason, just their leading Senators, Imperial World Leaders, Admirals and Generals. Staying on Eriadu until the last remnants of the former military junta were found and trialed Colonel Dogriz R'kat left after the humans of the world had established a pro-confederacy, pro-separatist new government and openly joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems, with a battle droid army and local militia staying behind to ensure they would stay in line for the rest of the Bacta War.
