Description
According to the original story, the prince was kind, gentle, hospitable and giving. In Disney’s version, although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was spoiled, selfish, unkind, intensely furious and had no love in his heart.
So, I was thinking, both stories would have had a better beginning. The young prince was born and was lonely and unhappy with having no choice in life and being ruled over by royal blood. To make matters even worse for him, each year on his birthday, all the fairest maids, ladies and more importantly princesses of the kingdom would come to be chosen to be the prince’s bride-to-be. But willfully, the prince finds some to be oblivious and gullible, and some to be vain, arrogant and unkind.
One day, he secretly dressed himself up as a commoner to escape the pressures of royal life, with Lumiere and Cogsworth to keep him company. While walking through the village, the prince greets the townspeople, tastes the food and smells the air and flowers. Unknown to him however, the three local blonde women, the Bimbettes were fawning over him as he walks pass, showing neither awareness of his true identity. Lumiere seems to notice the three though, most likely their beauty, as did Cogsworth, who flirted with the Bimbettes, but was ignored due to their distracted with admiring the prince.
Laurette: Look at him, he's gorgeous.
Paulette: Yes, even more than...uh, than...uhh. What was his name?[forgetting Gaston's name]
Claudette: Who cares? He's just absolutely handsome!

For some reason, Adam in this makes me think of Archie from Archie Comics.
Nice job, BTW.
