This is a nice picture, of LeFou and the bimbettes all having a good time together, Gaston would probably be jealous if he was still around. Yeah, Gaston was nothing but a big jerk, but I don't think he deserved to die, he just deserved to be rejected by everybody and arrested for attempted murder on the beast. This picture is cute, LeFou being cooed and tickled, and the bimbette holding him. By the way, I'm sure that bimbette is being gentle with LeFou, isn't she?

Probably not jealous, considering he barely even paid them any notice in either the film or the comics. Not to mention, the triplets tried to pull the jealousy ploy by using themselves as a honey trap while LeFou was at the book store (apparently out of revenge that Gaston made them jealous of Belle for being Gaston's apple in his eye so to speak). Gaston didn't get jealous at all. At most, he was more incensed at LeFou for letting himself get distracted on lookout duty (LeFou was originally made to go to the Bookstore to be on the lookout for Belle) than actually jealous that the triplets were giving him attention than himself. You can read them here , here , here , here (and actually, Laurette in that pic when she makes true of her warning of screaming at the mention of Belle looks like she's going Super Saiyan), here , and here .
Personally, I'm unsure of the direction Marvel Comics went regarding the triplets' characterizations (since you can probably guess from how they were characterized there that, crushing on Gaston aside, they were almost like completely different characters, since the film never even implied they had been jealous of Belle being Gaston's betrothed, and if anything implied they accepted it fully.). On the one hand, I am glad they at least were given some degree of inner ugliness so they could actually match up as foils to Belle in terms of the moral of the tale, since the film utterly failed on that front. On the other hand, considering the Marvel Comics were technically a continuation of the film rather than a straight-up adaptation/remake, I'm not so sure about them being made OOC since it poses some continuity problems with how they were characterized in the film, even if the film did botch their characterizations by making them come across as more pure of heart than Belle in the first place despite Belle being the protagonist of the tale. I'm actually planning to write a fanfic with them as the protagonists (well, two, actually, one will be based on Beauty and the Beast, the Marvel Comics serial, the Disney Comics serial, and to some extent The Enchanted Christmas and will act as a prequel to the one I intend to write, which would be based on the French Revolution and Reign of Terror considering the film's implied setting). For the prequel, I'm planning on rewriting the sections pertaining to the Marvel Comics village sections to be a bit more in line with their characterizations from the film. Depending on whether it's even possible to tweak the above to have them not come across as jealous shrews, I may either include the above storyline, or I won't (same goes for Dove Tales Part 2).
