Ultra Hardcore is one of my favorite things ever. As such, I did a little dance for joy when season 9 started. The three main people from the mindcrack server I watch were on separate teams, so I was watching DOOKE, Nancy Drew, and Fairly hardcore. (from the POVs of Etho, Beef, and BTC) I was watching episode 2 from Etho's POV when I saw SethBling drop down to half a heart. Having been rooting for SethBling, (because he's pretty dang awesome) I was concerned and watched BTC's POV to figure out what happened. During the scene, all BTC sees while down at the base of this ravine is SethBling run back being chased by a spider, a creeper, and a skeleton. Mhykol helps kill the spider and creeper, but accidentally hits SethBling, and they were all being shot by the skeleton. SethBling drops to half a heart and dashes to safety while BTC and Mhykol take on the skelly. BTC has this epic battle with the skeleton, finally kills it, then turns around to see SethBling, Avidya, and Mhykol all huddled behind a wall. It was actually pretty hilarious, mostly due to BTC's comment of, "I'm fighting this skeleton and you're all hiding in a hole!"

What made me decide to draw the scene? I dunno. It pretty well stuck in my head and I had to draw it. (And make it look more epic than it really was.) That being said, this was more of a pain in the butt than I had anticipated. There were long hours spent toward this picture. Mostly I was having issues drawing stuff in illustrator. I had sketched the outlines for everyone before putting it on the computer, but I had ommited difficult-to-draw things like hands, and I hadn't even drawn Mhykol. (Who?) So then I had an awful lot of cleanup work to do in illustrator and it was significantly more difficult to do on the computer than if I had just buckled down and drew it in the first place. Ah well. As such, there are some details that are a little off because I got lazy on drawing the rest of the lines. For instance, Avidya is supposed to be wearing sandles, not combat boots. But yeesh. Give me a bit of a break.

It still turned out fairly hardcore. (See what I did there? ) I like it. It's fun giving everything a dramatic lighting and I've never drawn lava before, so it turned out pretty sweet in the end.
