Well, I had a nice commentary written up for this drawing, but Deviantart was stupid and deleted it for me the moment I clicked finish, so here is what you get instead."I am an illusion, though I show only what is real. I mark your every flaw. Some love me. Many fear me. You wish I was perfect, but you are the one who must change. What am I?"
I wanted to make a self portrait of myself, and since I succeeded with my guitarist drawing in actually drawing someone, I decided to give it a try. Cameras and mirrors are evil and don't like to mix and I got frustrated and so was glaring in the one picture that actually turned out for a good reference pic. I messed up a lot a bit on the face and bleh I don't care. It looks like me anyway. I had no idea how to make the background in the mirror or anything out of the mirror, so, tada! Instant abstract art! Enjoy my short commentary.

Way better than my self-portrait I've had to pull off a few different times throughout my pre-college school career. I've never been good drawing humans or repeating an action, just really animals and spur of the moment type things turn out well. Any art that I do actually acomplish well tends to take forever and is turned in late *sigh* so, big thumbs up ^.^

^^' thanks. I have a lot of problems with drawing portraits of people, but other than that, I'm usually pretty ok with drawing them. This was an experiment to see if I could actually succeed in drawing a portrait, and it actually turned out pretty well, all things considering. Though even in this picture, I backed it away slightly so it's still not quite a proper partrait.

you're welcome, and to me it still works a lot better than my pathetic experiments. None of my self-portraits where i had to look and draw look like me. Then, the one where it does look a lot like me, it was from a pic when I was little and I don't even know where I put the thing -.-

I have to admit, you do look ticked. However, I do think this turned out pretty well. It's a fabulous perspective.

Wow, nicely done! Love the hand and perspctive. And it really looks like there is shine on the mirror. The face and hair is my favorite part, the eyes seem very determined.

It turned out good. ^^ Like you said, the face (particularly the eyes, I think) turned out a little funny, but overall I like it. I love the texture on the shirt.

yeah. I actually tought the eyes were decent. It was the mouth and the nose (mostly the mouth) that gave me the most trouble. Bleh. And I wonder why I usualy avoid drawing human faces.
