Description
A project I did in my Illustration class. It's my two characters, Dais and Dawn."Last Train Home"
To every broken heart in here
Love was once a part, but now it's disappeared
She told me that it's all part of the choices that you make
Even when you think you're right
You have to give to take
But there's still tomorrow
Forget the sorrow
And I can be on the last train home
Watch it pass the day
As it fades away
No more time to care
No more time, today
But we sing
If we're going nowhere
Yeah we sing
If it's not enough
And we sing
Sing without a reason
To ever fall in love
I wonder if you're listening
Picking up on the signals
Sent back from within
Sometimes it feels like I don't really know whats going on
Time and time again it seems like everything is wrong in here
But there's still tomorrow
Forget the sorrow
And I can be on the last train home
Watch it pass the day
As it fades away
No more time to care
No more time, today
But we sing
If we're going nowhere
Yeah we sing
If it's not enough
And we sing
Sing without a reason
To ever fall in love
But we sing if we're going nowhere
Yeah we sing if it's not enough
And we sing
Sing without a reason to ever fall in love
But we sing
If we're going no where
Yeah we sing
If it's not enough
And we sing
Sing with out a reason to never fall in love
To never fall in love again

This is whicked sad...but very well done!
I love the color you chose, not the typical blue to symbolize sadness or anything, very nice.

Wow, why have I not noticed this sooner? That's a very well drawn picture. The imagery strongly reminds me of a couple I know and really care for, and , and how they ride the trains long distances to be together, and much like the picture, go their seperate ways. I really like the reflection, and the background looks great. There's some good detail there, but not much emphasis on it, so it doesn't distract from the main subjects. The bored person back there is a nice touch too. Makes it look very natural.
If I had to rag on something, it'd be his right hand. It's not terrible by any means, but it still looks a little misproportioned to me. And that's just being pretty picky, but I prefer to give both positive and negative feedback in my critiques.
This is excellent. A definite favourite.

Wow...thanks for the great comment! I think that is the best comment I have received yet. You made my day I was hoping that when people looked at this picture, they would have some kind of emotional response to it. I've been in a long distance relationship before and I wanted to express how it feels.
The fact that the picture reminds you of them two is a big compliment. Eddie's artwork is awesome. Too bad she keeps getting spammed.
As much as I appreciate the positive feedback, the negative feedback is good too. I do see what your talking about, one hand is smaller than the other one.

First I created the piece with traditional pen and ink, then I scanned it into my computer and used a filter on it in photoshop.
And I'm an illustration major hehe

Nicely done. I love the expression on the reflection, and all the detail work that you did. Having the image slightly tilted definately gives the feeling that something important is happening. If you ever decide on a story for this, I'd love to hear it
