Its a very nice story you got there, I'm curious to see what happens now!
I think "My mother was one of the Foxes, but had me and my brother with a wolf, so she wasn't able to live in the foxes' society and had to get out of there with us" would sound better, the way it is put now sounds a bit confusing. I had some other suggestions, but =BlueEyesKitten pointed out all of them already.
