Description
Since my old one for water was getting outdated, I thought I'd make a new one, and then add some tips on drawing stone/earth/rock/groundEdit: This one isn't the best, but it should give you an idea of how to go about learning how to work with water and earth since ultimately only you will know how to draw these things best. In other words, it's "Open Ended"
Also, "trablet" should be tablet

That's really cool!!! I'm trying to get better at digital painting and I've never thought of doing ground like that. Awesome!!!

If you look at some paintings that were done within the past couple-hundred years, the details are clear from far away, but when you get a closer peek at them, you can't tell one blob of color from another and what they are supposed to be. That's kind of the way I go about it, which I find to be fun

LOL. I had no idea. Slackers. I always try and do as detailed as I can in anything and I never thought o just blobbing color. Thanks!

Yep, and it's good to learn how to create details the "right way" before you can mess around with stuff like that. There's a difference between just being messy and doing something on purpose to get a particular effect

I normally try and do ever little detail and so then I end up with messy work since I get annoyed. So I'll try doing it on purpose.

Your water seem a bit opaque though, I'd suggest a third darker colour to add volume.
This one's probably for advance painters but still a nice example: [link]

Normally that's what I would do, or something similar. I wanted to give people more of an idea of what direction to go in since they would benefit to learn this on their own by experimenting. But thanks for the tutorial, it does look helpful

cool :3 I love the way you do your water and especially the first and last of the ground, but it is all around AWESOME! 0_0

Thanks, Dolphin! The first ground is from that cat picture I just drew, and the last one is from the picture with the older, grumpy Kovu, and I thought they'd be the best examples for what I wanted to show people
