Description
Some new character designs for my webcomic Codex Black . Among them is Cosijoeza (pronounced “Cocihoesa”), Great King (Coquitao) of Zaachila and ruler of the zapotec people. He is famous for his historical showdown with Emperor (Huey Tlatoani) Ahuizotl’s aztec armies at the Battle of Guiengola (Around 1496).(Note: Oxa is pronounced “Osha”)

Overall
Vision
Originality
Technique
Impact
Vision: Colourful but still distinct and not impossible to discern. Colours don't drown the figures.
Originality: Nobody has before made a comic on this theme, not seen from my European vantage point at least. I hope that You are the first but with many, many following in Your footsteps. Too much Meso-American history deals with the end of it, la Conquista.
Technique: The drawing style is very clearly inspired by Pre-Columbian codices and reliefs. You must have studied the style very very carefully, over many years, to make it so true to the original yeat still so simple to discern unlike the images in codices and reliefs which are often crammed with details until almost bursting.
Impact: A Spanish Conquistador said during la Conquista that the difference between Aztecs and Mixtecs were about as big as between Spaniards and Turks. Differences has always before been hidden in Academic dissertations, they should become far better known, like not only Azteks and Mayas but also Otomis, Tarascos, Chichimecs, Totonacs, Tlappanecs, Chinantecs, Tehuantecs, Pipils, Lencas and others.

I've been looking through these designs and regard them an awesome piece of work. Intent on creating a web-comic featuring these characters? Then I'll certainly favourite it at once! Just give me the URL to the first page in the series please!

Thankyou very much!
Of course, here's the link to the webcomic: tapas.io/series/Codex-Black
It's just getting started, but all these characters and more will appear as the story unfolds. Thankyou for your interest!
