Description
Another design pass on my Elemental armor. And as it should be, I like this a lot more than the older ones. This particular suit is fitted for a female, with no auxiliary element manipulation equipment (yet). Armor level is medium class, and expanded shield generators are mounted on its back.
Elementals, the Rangers answer to reduce collateral damage. Yet at the same time be able to utilize the environment more than ever, if needed.

I've posted my work on Polykarbon, and maybe others I forget, why?
And if you haven't seen this [link] its a better painting of the design.

it's just that i suddenly recalled the design of the elemental powered armor.i then proceeded to work myself to death just to find who came up with it's design.

Well I know there are other "elemental power armor" out there, like battletech. But this design is my own, people have probably used the image around though, for ideas.

Yep that always comes up. Some day, when people see fins on a design they will say it looks like my Elementals, and Brearios will be forgotten

Very nice. The cammo job is very well done. Design question: what are the vanes coming off the helmet for? You could code name it "Valkyrie" because it kind of reminds me of the theatrical Viking helmets used in operas. Very nicely done.

I admit the fins are just a stylistic choice, but it's easy to pass them off as sensors, radiators, or shield projectors.
I need to study into mythology and similar things, would give my work a little more character.

I've always wondered if they were antenna of some sort. Radar maybe, or in the Mechwarrior universe maybe antenna for Magnetic Anomaly Detector (MAD) or something along those lines. Have a good one.

i personaly think that the joints in the armor seem vonerable... but other then that good job.

Shimmering-Sword In reply to xXSujnitXx [2009-07-30 06:20:30 +0000 UTC]
Yea the joints are a weak point, making large fragmenting shells something to watch out for. But it needs to be fast, so a necessary compromise.
Glad you like it, and thanks for the fav.

np and a way to fix that and keep the speed is to do something like scale mail or a fiber aloy mesh... its not as strong as the rest of the armor but it will give more protection so u wont lose limb from a lucky shot from a frag round.

Shimmering-Sword In reply to xXSujnitXx [2009-07-30 07:23:29 +0000 UTC]
Well the synthetic muscle over the joints can tense to stop most shots, not to mention the energy shields. I'm talking massive shells (heavy artillery/naval), so it's usually avoidable.
I am always looking for ways to improve the design though

and from what i can c that armor looks heavy and u wont want the synthetic muscle getting dmg or u will not be able to move.

Hey, what kind of elements are you talking about like Greek or periodic table?. . And why do I get the feeling I am asking this question over again?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Shimmering-Sword In reply to Terror-From-Beyond [2009-06-20 05:02:51 +0000 UTC]
Hah, your not. If by Greek you mean fire earth water lighting and such, yes. Not specific elements or compounds.
Though it's not much like how any other story implements it, it's more like proficiencies in what can be done with shielding tech.
Earth: Mass - Using shield waves to cause force and manipulating masses.
Fire: Thermals - Using shield heat offensively and controlling it minutely.
Lightning: Ions - Using shield polarity to chanel and direct ions offensively and to create energy networks.
Those are the only 3, combined mastery allows for much more advanced shielding techniques.

Heh I love the design on it, I would use that sort of thing if it existed and I'd probably just goof off on the coloring and tinker with the mechanisms to see if I can make major improvements on it.

As for the camo, thats just regular digital camo. This isn't really the type of unit to use concealment though, its just for show. Camo for visibility lol.

dont rly look like female armor (face plate ruins it sort of even thouh its cool) but it still looks practial(ppl draw them in skimpy cut down armor with enlarged body parts and huge weapons)

Ah yes, I dont draw typical "female armor", this armor is simply custom fitted to acomodate a female (overall proportions not just bewb space).
Glad you think it looks practical. Thanks for commenting.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Shimmering-Sword In reply to AddamPool [2008-09-06 07:41:08 +0000 UTC]
A full length feature would provide time for some badass footage and a cool story, but Im going for a much bigger scale than that. Its the kind of project that would work well on all media, and would be best presented on several. I dont know what to start with though, if for some luck a movie was its premier then that would be nice publicity, but I predict a start in comics/graphic novels.
