Also it seems like their effect on him is weak enough that he doesn't have to fight to TK them.
He must not understand the Elements very well yet if he is worried about the LEAST corrupt of them touching them.
Wondering if he honestly cares about Luna, or if he just knows that it would do bad things for his plans of getting Celestia to hand over the kingdom before she ever takes office if she wakes up to find herself minus a baby sister and plus one lawn ornament.

Celestia's parents are trying to turn these two against each other.
You're paranoid about the wrong things. They want Celestia to be the ruler of Equestria, whether she wants to be or not, so they're setting Discord up.

this reminds me of my dischord theory that cannot be canon in most fanfictions that onvole discord.
I haven't seen the episode in a while, but did it say that discord overthrew 'tia first, or did 'tia overthrow discord first? If the latter than that would put the ponies in the wrong, as disord's worls would have been "normal" for what it was, they knew nothing and therefore had nothing to compare it to.
on top of all that, with discords reality altering powers problems would be easy to fix, whereas celestia just says "do it yourself and afterwards I'll give you an empowering speech" and could cause injuries as well as death.
the only reason I can see for 'tia doing this is her parents being part of an anti-discord terrorist orginazition, they died by his hand (or so 'tia thinks, this may or may not be true, but I like to think that discord is genuinely sorry about there deaths if my theory hols up) and for revenge 'tia got luna to help her overthrow discord, and thus the equestria we know was born.
although this whole thing could be proven invalid with about half a sentance.

We know that Celestia and Luna overthrew Discord. We don't know anything other than that, but it's mentioned that the ponies suffered under his rule.

True, true. But you also have to look at it this way, would celestia really tell her kingdom she's been benevolently ruling for a thousand years-including the elements of harmony, some of the most important non-royalty ponies in the world-that she overthrew someone because her parents died by his hand, with no evidence whatsoever to uphold this? And even if she did have evidence would anyone believe her except the most devout pro-celestia ponies out there? She had lied to them there entire lives as well as there parents entire lives. So when you think about it, it holds up a fair amount of water. Although it still needs the comfirmation of 'tia herself to be proven true. Which we all know will never happen unless MLP gets some sort of spin-off made for older ausiences with a thicker plotline, more multi-part episodes, and returning characters that play a role more often instead of just showing up from time to time to co-star in an episode.
