I should have held back... maybe, anyway...But I can no longer.
I love Treasure Planet. I love it hardcore, and have even made a fan character (DON'T JUDGE ME, YOU DO IT TOO) for it. This is Jane. She is a pirate. She is in her 30s somewhere, she is tough, she is mean, and someday I'll come up with more stuff about her. Maybe. SHHH.

lots of people make fancaharacters, but you're one of the good people because you can actually DRAW yours to portray her, and not go all fanfic sue

Someday you'll have to twist my arm to make me write the story I had in mind for a Treasure Planet sequel : Jim finds a message in a space pod/bottle(?) and thinks it's from John Silver, so he gets a ship and crew together -- using one of Dr. Doppler's kids as a member of his crew -- and goes after Silver. Only to learn that another pirate, a legend in the making, has taken over the asteroid shoals of Greater Tortuga, and the old star-fortress there. It's while imprisoned there that Jim meets a young woman named Jemima, who's been a prisoner of the pirates for over 4 years.
There's more to the story, but I've had other tales and things to focus on these past few years.

I have seen people complain about artists who draw characters from their favorite show, saying that these artists are being uncreative because they're not drawing their own characters. I have seen people who complain about people who make up their own characters to go into an existing universe.
Seriously, the people who complain about these things need to stuff a sock in their mouths. There are plenty of other things to be worring about rather than WHAT PEOPLE ENJOY DRAWING. *headdesk*

And yes, realistic women are hotter, aren't they? Jane seems jaded and hardened, but at the same time (at least in my eyes) exudes a sort of maternal weariness, and it makes her visual character more rich because of it.

Love Jane's hair. Short and boyish but it works for her. Are the wrapings around her arm and torso thre for bone mending or just decoration?

She has some nasty burn scars on her arm and chest and since they're fairly sensitive she keeps them under wraps.

It's a Disney movie, fairly recent release (2001-2003, sometime within that time period), and it is actually a GOOD new Disney film...you should definitely check it out. Classic 2-D Animation...
