So I got forced into going to some homeschool-mom gathering with my mother... during their chit chat and my complete lack of company I ended up babysitting some of the younger ones. So I drew to pass the time, and at one point I was drawing one of the Brides from Van Helsing... and one of the homeschool mom's walked by. She said those exact words and I swear to God I had that exact look on my face.Related content

omg, I have totally been in those awkward situations when I'm just bored and decide to try drawing something from my head, like a nude model or whatnot to see if I can do it...then someone walks by...and that exact face sorta pops up...

I had this happen at one of my dad's music club meetings. This really nice lady comes by, sees me drawing semi-naked Soi Fon making out with naked Yoruichi (both girls) and just acts impressed. It was awkward! My homophobic grandma also walked in on me drawing a yaoi pic of Kanda and Lavi from D. Gray Man, but fortunately mistook Kanda for a girl.

this is the exact reason i almost never draw anything like that, people steal my sketchbook and look through it.

My cousin did that, I was scared shitless cause it was about a year worth of work. Until later I found outthat my cousin took it and brought it to her elementary school and showed it to her classmates, teachers, and friend.
And my mom does that butshe does i verbally she brags about 'oh you should see her BEAUTIFUL drawing.' and 'She can draw very well' but the fact is tat she doesn't know but I draw A LOT of yaoi so she hasn't seen the drawings since senior year of high school.

I totally feel the pain. That happens ALL THE FUCKING TIME, since I can't just draw clothes, I have to put a body under them. So my girls are naked until I get around to making them clothing. So all the boys decide I'm a lesbian, yaaaaay...

If I ever bring my sketch book near my friends they usually want to steal it and look. When we went on a class trip I had to sencor a lot. I don't like people going through my drawings. Or writing for that matter.

the dreaded words, they can be flattering, embarrassing, or just horrible depending on the drawing and your mood. On the bright side the naked body is highly supported in the art world so it's easier to not be castised for it

I have the most annoying friend when i'm drawing she'd be like "what are you drawing?!" or go right up close to me and say "WOW! thats AWSOME!". and she's innecent so i quickly hide my "PG13" stuff before i get imbarrassed XD

LOL That always seems to happen to me too XD But I draw in a sketch book and people ALWAYS want to see what I'm drawing then the drawing BOOK which, has.....men making out in it.......er....and some......interesting language. Lol then I have to hand it to them and my mom always somehow in the midst of everything ALWAYS sees it and is like "Chandler are those girls cursing at each other D<" Then everyone else laughs at my expense then asks if I drew free hand. What exactly do they even MEAN free hand? Seriousl, did they SEE a picture that I was copying or soemthing?! LIKE SERIOUSLY! It's such a silly question. I also hate it too cause I get embarrased easily and then they are always like "whooaaaaa, these are BEAUTIFUL! Are you going to be an artist someday?" And I always just nod to be polite, but I honestly think I'm probably going to be a secretary or something XD
The face was drawn so universally too! lol I love all the people's comments on this XD Seems as if artists world renound have this problem

i've had this happen to me before, but with teacher instead... they would sneek up behind men and then whisper in my ear "what are you drawing...?" or something like that. thats when i suspect to song 'somebodys watching me' to play in the background... and it always scares the crap out of me and the other kids around get a kick out of it...

WAHAHAHAH! That happens, like, ALL THE TIME. "Oh, wow, did you DRAW that?" And I always feel like saying, "Why, no, I happened to sneeze, and this just magically appeared on the page." Or even, "No, actually, I stole this sketchbook from my arch-nemesis, and am busily defacing her work. Please leave me to my evil." Hehehehe.

I hate that feeling.
Part of why I don't draw full body figures in public. I always sketch them nude first and then add the clothing and whatnot.
Seriously, all through highschool. "OMG a nekkid chick. Are you gonna give her nipples? Lol *fap fap*"
Note that the *fap fap* is probably what they're doing inside their mind.

Ditto. I was known as "the porn artist" all freshman and sophmore year, because I drew nudes before adding clothes. Didn't matter if I added a dress that covered everything from chin to ankles, it was still porn.
Junior year I quit showing unfinished drawings to people I didn't like, so...

Love Van Helsing! Don't know why, though . . . I think it's the overall awfulness of the movie that makes it so funny. Plus the vampires. Those do help.

Reason why I draw very seldom in public. Not that I draw nekkid chicks, but I don't usually draw things for other people to look at. And I really don't like drawing something and having someone come up behind me and question my sanity.

Oh geeze... I've had this same thing happen to me... Drawing a picture of an elven woman bathing in a spring while at a party I had no interest in going to and one of my aunt's comes up and goes "Oh gosh, that's amazing, did you do that all free hand?"
I was sitting there stunned stupid going "Wait wait wait... This is my aunt right? The conservative right wing republican texas woman.. and instead of freaking out over me drawing a naked pointy eared chic she just wants to know if I drew it free hand!?"

Well, there was this one time, at the pediatrician(sp?)'s office, when my little sister was getting a checkup. I got bored, so I whipped out my handy-dandy sketchpad and just started scribbling at random, right? I was copying the little drug-induced murals of ice skating rabbits on the wall and stuff when this frumpy ol' nurse comes into the room and starts going, "DRAH ME, CHILE! DRAH ME. HYURHYURHYUR~!" I swear, my only thought was, "Make the scary illegal immigrant go away... D8" It was one of the most terrifying experiences of my LIFE.
So there. D8 Other things like that have happened before as well.
