FURRIES lolJust kidding, they're scalies. Three sceloporus; S. consobrinus, S. undulatus and S. woodi, being all old timey. I was thinking Lackadaisy Lizards the entire time I was painting this. Which, incidentally, was 2.5 hours, because I am going crazy trying to finish all my work...
Despite deadlines, I decided to do this anyways cuz its for my (doctor!!!) friend Adam, who has a paper coming out soon
Its called "Population Sampling Impacts on Multilocus Species Tree Inference: Discordant Traces to Mitochondrial DNA Clade Boundaries in North American Fence Lizards (Sceloporus undulatus Species Group)." I read through it and understood about 50% of it, haha. Suffice to say its about sorting out different types of lizards using genetic analyses. But yeah, he's awesome and deserves dated lizards. Also I think I need more art in my gallery that isn't mature T__T Everything has had boobs in it lately.

raking is done... now re-mulching our flower beds. 18 bags bought and spread yesterday. Gonna go get 12 more today.

Remulching sounds like fun (I'm lying). We picked up some free dirt that someone was giving away, it is so rich and composty and the plants love it. The downside is that we have a ton more flies this year than usual, arg. That plus the aphids on the first rose growth of the year means I've been spraying the garden a lot recently! Have fun with your mulch! Hope you're planting some veggies too, kids love eating what they've helped to grow by themselves.

We have 5 acres of land, about 3 of which are trees... so we have those little f---ers in droves. We have Scotts treat our lawn every 6 weeks, so they put down "bug napalm" in April and July which is wonderful.
Rose bushes = win
30 bags of red mulch spread, about 30 more to go. Good thing I like working outside (landscaping = complete 180 from my job).
A garden is very difficult for us, we have deers, rabbits and an extra fat groundhog (there is a pic in my deviations of his royal chub) who like our plants... grumble
