Definitely more art than photo journalism. I like the symmatry in the background, and the different positions of the divers as well as featuring both one male and one female.
Congrats

Well, yeah, this one can be classified into both end of the genre I guess (if one sees it as Art <-----> Documentary), or perhaps it's located somewhere in the middle. Some might see this as an art photo with a story, whereas the others might view this as an artsy photojournalism. But since at that moment I was more inclined to trying to catch a "moment" of a sport event, in the end I consider this a photojournalism. But thank you very much for the opinion!
Oh btw, they are all male.

I am a swimmer, and I must say I thought there was only two types of swimming shots you could take: side view of the dive or front view of breastroke/butterfly
thank you for proving me wrong, this shot is wonderful

It has something to do with the layout of the pool I guess. Most swimming pools don't have a tribune exactly behind the start boxes, whereas this one I went happened to have one. I don't know whether it's a good or bad design for a pool, but it gave me this angle.
Thank you for the kind words.

Seeing people jumping into a pool makes me jump on my feet and scan the water making sure there is no Code 100. Darn it lifeguarding skills...
