Description
The point when all life ends, and the very begining to when life can start once more.Been working on this piece for a while, so I hope this is a nice intro into me working on art again. I know I haven't submitted anything in a while. My life kinda feels like my artwork at the moment. Anyway I hope you like it and all the work I poured into it.

Im sorry its taken so long for the print, but I wanted the piece to be perfected
before I send it off to Expose as well as Prints.

Oh man, I was looking at this picture whilst browsing through some prints and I just had to come see the real thing. It is simply awesome, I have to say. Honestly, never have I seen the demise of mankind look so beautiful and spectacular.
I'm figuring that's a moon crashing into the planet, as it seems a tad too perfectly shaped for an asteroid, with the collision possibly being caused by gravitational pulls. If it's Earth ... I'm thinking maybe the proportional sizes are a little off, but other than that I am stuck for criticism as this looks absolutely the epitome of excellence. I love how you've represented the water rising up around the moon in a vortex, rushing to get away from the point of impact, and how you've created the texture of the raging waves and ocean. The fire and flames being thrown up from the crash look so realistic, it's almost as if I'm viewing my own doom.
If Earth were ever to fall victim to such chaos as gravitational conflicts cause, I damn well hope it looks as beautiful as this.
Well, if all of mankind is going to become extinct, we may as well go out in style ...

You know, there are more than a few scientist who argue that eart likely once had two moons. They consider one falling out of orbit the likely cause of the TK event, which whiped out all but 1% of life and ended the age of reptiles. They base it on a mass of rocks and various other theories, but that's what this drawing reminds me of. There was a scene that looked about like that at the IMAX at the NASA Space and Rocket Centre.

for me it has one fatal flaw, no explosion behind the planet. Making it look like the explosion is just set ontop of the planet. Makes it looks toatally wrong to me
