I've been a freaking machine lately in how much I've been working on art. Im cranking these out like a factory.Well anyway, more experimentation with color can be seen in this one. Im trying to break the mold that all space scenes are monochromatic, and I want to try and push a movement away from that.
Theres just so much more to explore in color and composition in space art.
Well anyway, enough of my rambling. Its a wallpaper so make Helios have a home.

It is an excellent piece of work, but I just have this thing about artists putting an atmosphere on planetoids that either are too small to maintain an atmosphere, or they orbit a planet whose size would indicate tremendous gravity and thus most likely wouldn't be a non-gaseous planetoid as seen in the background. It's just a small annoyance to an otherwise amazing work of art. Please continue.

your space stuff is amazing. can i have just a little advice on making the vast background stars and nebula brushes. i dont understand how to make the brushes look like that and i really need a nice space scene. thanks.

Ahhh..... Fresh air... I've been waiting for someone to pull off some deep colored realism with some originality. Though I hate to sound biased... YOU have succeded...
Spacescapes are slowly becoming more and more cliche... but... you my friend have given me a breath of fresh air... This piece is awesome... If I had a complaint it would simply be that the lighing of the planets doesn't quiet feel complete... There is an ambience missing.
You have my gratitude and compliments on this piece. An instant favorite addition to my meger list. It takes something special to get into my favorities and this piece is no short exception. My thanks... for sharing this with me.
