Description Well If you've known me for a long time on DA, you'll probably remember one of my first pieces I ever made was a scene where two galaxies collided. It was rather crappy, and Ive improved well beyond that, but I figured I would ressurect the idea and here's what I came up with.

I've been experimenting with more colors, and will probably go back and recolor Crimson Skies and make it more perdy.

Enjoy damnit.

edit: yeah its not soposed to be 2 galaxies, sorry I didnt make that clear.
It was inspired by the idea of that, but theyre really 2 nebuli.

This turned out really great!
Congrats!

btw... not to pry, but do you sell too many prints here?
Is it much of a success for you?
Are they really great quality or what?

I havent sold many prints because I havent used my print account.
This is the first time I have put them all up for sale.

I wouldnt know if theyre a success, cause I just put them up.

And heh, if youre wonderful about quality, yes they are extremely high quality prints. They look better than they do on ur computer. Much more detail, much bigger (if u buy a bigger print of course) and there are tons of other stuff that is easily missed by how much theyre shrunk.

I usually work on 40 x 30 canvases on the computer, so theyre big and detailed as i work ont hem.

man... this is insane. Totaly out of the box... is there any slight possibility you would like to share some secrets on that backround/cosmic dust-glowing-thing?

Thats called a nebula.
Its usually painted with textured brushes, then smudged, then I do it over and over, add more textures, rotate distort, and just paint.

Its a long process, but its usualy worth it. Nebulas are a pain because you cant quickly do them, and expect them to look nice.

Oh yeah! I forgot, of course it's nebula... in my language it's called " UKAS" sounds like "ookhas". I believe that it's a long process, because nebulas are usualy insanely complex .. just like yours! Your patience deserves very huge big enormous respect. You would be the best indian shaman or whatever...

I know its one of your older pieces, but I cannot help but give recoginition when its due. This is awesome my friend, very nice, the colors are amazing and once again you've managed to bring the fantasy of space to the views of so many. You are amazing and this and I respect you for it, keep it up. BTW, my new piece that is coming out, i though of the same name "Cosmic Symphony" (weird), but you already have it covered, I'll think of something new , yours deserves the name more than mine .

The nebula looks original and holds interest, as it should.. The only thing.. Are the rings. I've had problems too with them, but fingered a way around it. But you end up making it up as you go along ust to find a better way.. that works best. Great job.

this....very good. Just the whole explosion idea....how can something in space explode (as in...fire and stuff) if there's no oxygen to make a combustion possible? Just wondering .
Awesome piece, it's hella good. Keep 'm coming.

theres explosions all the time in space, its a very common phenomenon. I mean, heres a rather simple answer, look at the sun? Its a constant explosion.

The colors are simply beautiful, as I'm sure everyone esle has said; but will repeat simply because it must be done. The big stars work very well, giving something to explore, and the rest is simply stunning. the two nebulae, well they came out fantastically. I have a specific like of the 'debris' separated from the main cuisters, especially on the bottom of the blue...

Great work, simply great.

Very nice, lights and shadows are really well done in this picture. Colours between those two nebulas are really nice and they fit together perfectly, heh... I wish I could make nebulas like that but I haven't understood yet how they are done, maybe after I would find a tutorial it could be a bit more clear . I must say that you have really been improving your techiques with this, very nice job!

Mind blowing detail Shiro and fantastic concept that you made work. For me its the fine partictles expanding away from the centre, it's this level of patients I admire.

Incredible job my friend, the two nebula's are incredibly made, and I don't think they're too bight at all . The rings on the planet could use some work, maybe some visible asteroids in there (might be kinda hard if you don't have a 3d rendering program), maybe a transparent level stretching between each ring. If you have 3dsm you can always contact me and I can teach you the basics of the particle system, then maybe you could render yourself a ring of asteroids, muaha, that would look kick ass. Anyway, I think something like this needs a

Much Luck,

oh, as for the rings looking too smooth... you could try messing with a dissolve (assuming you're using photoshop)... you can find it in a few spots, like the layers blending options... hope that helps some
