Well If you've known me for a long time on DA, you'll probably remember one of my first pieces I ever made was a scene where two galaxies collided. It was rather crappy, and Ive improved well beyond that, but I figured I would ressurect the idea and here's what I came up with.I've been experimenting with more colors, and will probably go back and recolor Crimson Skies and make it more perdy.

edit: yeah its not soposed to be 2 galaxies, sorry I didnt make that clear.
It was inspired by the idea of that, but theyre really 2 nebuli.

Whoa. The contrast between the two nebulae is awesome. You can really feel the power comming from their collision. Great planet texture also. +fav to the max!

very very very nice. but... arent galaxies spirals?? and isnt it only that bright in the middle??? it's a big big big eyecatcher and it looks AWESOME, but not like two galaxies.. at least not to me.. then again i masturbate to the hubble pictures.. so i have the right to be picky.

Very nice work here, I really like the vibrant colors. Its kind of waaay too bright, though. Nebulas/galaxies are usually much dimmer, even when colliding.
Another small thing are the planet rings. They are kind of too smooth and look more like those 2d things that you find in abstract 3d.
Other than those 2 things, i really like the whole piece. Planet textures, starfields, shadows, and even the signature at the bottom
