One day I will NOT fall weeks behind on DA. But here I am with the backlog! I see you are doing a lot better with wood, it is fht first thing I noticed, the branch looks very real. I like the way the lighting fades away, drawing your attention to her face. The paw under her chin looks slightly awkward, perhaps it is merely the angle? However I love her attentive expression!

I tried Β anew technique for the branches. I used a nail filer for the branch and that gives it the texture of wood grain. I still have to work on making the background more realistic without spending too much time on it.

Thank you Paul! Β I have got the feedback the nose is too bright, but otherwise most people seemed to like it.

it might be a bit to bright but i think its close and it is a focus on the face. depends on whether you want them to look at the eyes or the nose fist perhaps a glaze of some slightly earthy rusty red. but personally i would leave it alone i think its nice. your such a good artist i would fallow your instincts and let the critics be someone always has a complaint. at the level you work at its all about instincts at this point one way or the other is not going to make that big a difference we are talking about subtleties. make your self happy fist Β

I love how you create this closeness with those very sharp and the rather blurry areas.
