Just Wow! Wish I had found your gallery back along when I was painting my own jaguar as I could have used the inspiration! Outstanding work!

Thank you very much I thought she was a leopard but I was told later she was actually a jaguar. Have you ever seen the film 'We Bought A Zoo?' Well Sovereign was from that zoo.Β

The eyes are so lifelike and the fur isΒ very realistic. You incorporated so much dimension and such a wide variety of colors as well

The color certainly pops in this one. I love the natural and smooth transition of the fur color on her nose from white to orange. Her expression is also part of what makes this piece pop, the wide eyes and alert ears you feel as if she is staring right at you. The moisture of the eyes as always stuns me, It's gorgeous. For the whiskers, to keep them from being colored over when you color the piece do you scratch them last?Β I like the color choice for the rocks.Β With the texture on them they appear mossy, very real, like you want to reach in and touch them.Β Had you chosen brown or grey I feel the realism of the rocks would have lost their realism.Β I saw on your tiger picture you have a show coming up soon, so I probably should have said this on that picture, but good luck and hope all goes well!

Thanks Krista! I usually do the whiskers last. Whenever I could not resist the temptation and draw the whiskers before the coloring is complete, they get spoiled with the colors.
