Here is my contribution to the whole Pirates vs Ninja fad that is going on...It looks like Kasumi and Mai just can't seem to figure out why Ninja are far superior to Pirates and explaining that to their friend May...
Can you give the two girls a good reason why Ninja have the upper hand over Pirate?

truthfully a boat full of pirates would end up being killed by one ninja who kills the guy on guard duty at night and poisons the food and drink to kill the rest. however ninja are only human and there is the chance of the ninja making a mistake and being found out then getting shot. so I guess its up to how skilled that particular ninja is. most ninja would hide in plain sight and the fact that most ninja are Japanese , he would end up sticking out like a soar thumb and a pirate ship full of Spaniards or British. then again they could send a kunochi (female ninja) "oh no the big bad pirates have kidnapped me, I must do bad things with them now, I submit. " and then BAM! the old fork in the eye ,err uh ... I mean poison them while they sleep. LOL

Why is it that people are assuming one side is better due to an accidental gramatical error? The error has absolutely nothing to due with the matter. It was an accident, so don't use the excuse of "Pirates are better because they can spell 'which' right."
Now for my input. I love both sides and they are both great but I'm going to have to say ninjas. It's not just because of our two lovely ladies in the pic. The training that ninjas do increases agility, technique, accuracy, etc. Thus, they are more skilled. Realistic pirates are not to be entirely infatuated with the "Pirates of the Carribean" franchise. They are not always romantic figures or heroes of sorts. They were brash, murderous, destructive, greedy, and sinister beings. With little to no skill in the business, they go all out with a "come hell or high water" attitude that tends to be self-destructive. They go in guns-ablazing, swords swinging madly without much skill put into it. Not only that but half the time they are drunk beyond all recognition and probably cannot fight efficiently. Ninjas at least have some sort of dignity about them. It takes a fair amount of skill to throw kunais and shuriken. They are also trained to be assassins and spies. They learn how to make clean, effective kills and to gather information effectively. Plus I dont' have to use the "Naruto" excuse to say that ninjas are better. They have been, and always will be, awesome.

well I do agree with most of what you said but there are a fair amount of pirates who where x marines and skilled ones at that. some of them managed to live as a pirate without even killing a single person. some storys about them where propaganda to make them look bad to the public. but yes at the same time allot of them where just dirty thugs on the sea. now if we are talking fictional pirates , well then thatβs another story. that monkey d luffy is tough mo fo that can knock over two apartment sized buildings at the same time mover at super sonic speeds (gear second) and increase his already tremendous strength many times over (gear third) or even combine the two with insane speed and strength (jet giganta ect.) not to mention the amount of damage he can take due to the fact that he is a rubber man , that and his great strength helps in resisting damage as well as his incredible will to live and fight on. (as in wounds that would kill or at least incapacitate a person, aka impalement through the torso to the other side being crushed by a boulder the size of a small mountain .
I would also like to say that as skilled as ninjas may be ,they where not as ultimate as some claimed. in fact even the classic black ninja outfit was never used by real ninja (it was only used in kabuki). that and the fact that other countries had their own form of stealth assassins (countries who ruled most of the known world at the time for thousands of years.

I'd be on the pirates side because they both wield swords, but you'd have to train to be a ninja almost your entire life in that aspect, where as a pirate, you could start withoujt having to train a lot. That and pirates actually use their swords more than the ninjas and their kunoichi.
