Here is my contribution to the whole Pirates vs Ninja fad that is going on...It looks like Kasumi and Mai just can't seem to figure out why Ninja are far superior to Pirates and explaining that to their friend May...
Can you give the two girls a good reason why Ninja have the upper hand over Pirate?

Not to sound arrogant, but "Steampunks" (Meaning people from the late 1800s) are better than both!
They've got gatling guns, ironclads, submarines, with the ability (In fiction) to have giant steam-powered robots, massive airships, and analog computers. All this with twice the pomp and circumstance than even the most showy pirates!

My bad. In my opinion, ninja's. They are sneaky, stealthy and can probably do some minor or major damage to the ship before the pirate's knew what hit them. cOf ourse then, the tables could turn and the ninja(s) could be killed so the pirates win. But if its Mai or Kasumi, they'll be obviously distracted and it could kill them.

I'm extremely fond of Ninjustu. I love both actual close-combat, but I seem like I would more stealthy. I love ninja weapons WAY more then pirate weapons anyway (I suck with guns. lol!) Plus, I've alway had a small crush om Mai when I first heard about her. So ninjas for me. THATS FOR DAMN SURE!!!

As of Anime Boston 2007, Pirates have been declared an endangered species.
Ninjas must now fight Shinigami. Alchemists are also fair game.
(Basically, it's 'Naruto' VS 'Bleach', with 'Full Metal Alchemist' in the mix, but there are of course other ninja, shinigami, and alchemists in anime.)
