THIS is awesome. I've looked at this so many times and still no comment? Shame on me...
ANYway, this has a real sense of weight to it, and the pose is very expressive.

Did you freehand it with a ballpoint or just ink with it? Cause that's pretty impressive if you did, The colors are good too I've never been good at water color.

Incredible job.
I love the pose, and your coloring is fantastic!

I really like the jeans, and how you got all the different shades of blue in; the tears at the bottom are a nice addition, also.

The entire picture just looks great, and I'm really impressed with your ability to make it cartoony, yet still achieving a sense of realism in your work. Incredible.

Yuck >_< Why does beastiality come to mind when you look at this?

PS: Your icon looks like my kitty^^

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

SarahSpangenberg In reply to rahni [2005-12-05 05:48:22 +0000 UTC]

The character is just so extremely canine and then it's made to look 'sexy' and it all seems a bit weird to me! It doesn't mean it's not good work though. I've just always found it a bit creepy when almost purely animal characters are drawn in a sensual fashion. I just don't understand it = P

PS: A friend on here made the icon for me using images of her own cat, not knowing I ever had a cat, nor specifically one that looks just like the one in the icon either = )

shoomlah In reply to codaleia [2005-11-30 22:19:11 +0000 UTC]

Before, in ballpoint- the piece I did with my dogs was after, though, as I used water-soluble ink that time.

That can't possibly be water colour. It looks too good! (well, obviously it is, but watercolours are very hard to use, and yet this looks perfect) It looks soo three-dee the way you did this, especially on the shirt. now I really wanna comish you! Not allowed to, though. ;_;
