Description The first half of an instructional piece done for class- I planned to do the next half on gentility and courtesies but, of course, I'm in college. I never have time. I meant to make him look less like, oh, I don't know, a man from the 20th century gussied up in 18th century attire, but I was more rushed than I would have liked on his face.

Quick Cautionary Note: this was for a project in class, and is in no way meant as something to be referenced by other people. If I was putting together a guide to costuming that was an actual tutorial, I'd be referencing period illustrations and extant garments all over the place. This is decent, sure, but you're much better off looking at the real stuff.

This is without doubt the coolest "guide" I have ever seen on this site or in the entire universe ever - wonderfully done (:

Wow, that's great! The linework and lettering hits this nice spot inbetween an actual period illustration and a modern one.

Everyone knows the bicorner kicks the tricorner's ass.

It's effing SCIENCE.

Also, pompadour forever. ,|,,|

That hand-signal makes no sense via text.

Okay this is the best thing I've seen all week. I once had to do a blueprint of something unusual for a graphic arts class, and I did a dandy! But yours is MUCH more detailed and fabulous. An automatic favorite.

Oh hell, this brings back memories of when I was drawing/researching 18th century clothing. I over all loved to draw the wigs and breeches. Love how you did this.
