Description
I do, I'm proud of my Asperger's Syndrome.Apparently many are thinking that I'm using this in a way of saying "I'm special" and that I take advantage of the perks of having Aspergers. I am not. Just like you guys, I struggle too... Im saying this in a way of self-confidence, and being proud and finding the positive in having a disability that I given, and that which I can not change. I am not a boastful person, nor an attention seeker, as some of you would know, Im EXTREMELY self-conscious and much too low a self-esteem. I meant this as sort of 'Gay Pride' thing but only with Aspergers instead. I support Autism Awareness, Gay Pride, Aspergers... why cant you take pride in Autism... nothings wrong with you, that 'wrong stuff' is just people's opinions. They all have there ups and downs as well, but that's not 'wrong'.
I do hope that I took care of this issue... if not, then as my friend Ashley suggested, just to remove the ability to comment. I honestly dont want to do that, because I love to hear the comments about all the other proud Asperger's... it's just that, if this fighting does not stop, I will be forced to.
And thank you for defending me. I GREATLY appreciate it... And I must say, you guys seemed to go completely over your heads, probably a little too much, but, I appreciate it anyway.

It is not ok to be ashamed of being disabled, that can lead to depression, self hate and other things including suicide. Your arguments make it sound like you may have a bit of that yourself, so it upsets you to see somebody else that is not feeling the same way. If so I am sorry are in that situation and I sugest getting help as soon as possible.
Either that or you are taking her post way too literally and believe it is your righteous duty to smite her down. You have done nothing but attack everyone that says something against you.
If you cannot come up with a valid argument without attacking someone in the process you will get nothing but opposition from everyone you talk to. Unless of course they see things the same way. I will not comment back to you if you attack, because believe it or not I do not want to increase your stress levels nor mine. Because this is the internet and its not really worth getting so stressed over. Especially if you have no way of knowing for a fact about things and people you meet over the itnernet besides what is written. I could tell you I'm a therapist, or a 50 year old man, but for all the information on the internet I could be a twelve year old girl, that is magic of the internet.
I hope you find some form of coming to terms with this.
Until then I wish you a good day.

Oh, and you can keep your "suggestions" to yourself, thank you very much. You're not in the position to judge or even guesstimate my intentions AT ALL.
And i'm not smiting HER down, but her STATEMENT, which is a major difference.
Don't give me this "Oh, i will not comment back if you attack..." bullshit while at the same time shoving an underhanded attack my way.
AND I DON'T FLAMING CARE if you're a 50 y/o girl or Shredder in a wheelchair, if you talk dumb i'll tell you off, anyway!

"Either that or you are taking her post way too literally and believe it is your righteous duty to smite her down."
Oh, wow, you're the first one to realize what's happening.
Of course i AM taking her artwork LITERALLY, because it's just a sentence on some grey/black background, there's nothing else to be interpreted except this offensive statement?!?!
So, what else should i interpret instead? There's nothing else left!

Not an attack, an observation. It is only seen as no other interpretation because you are not open to any other interpretation, but arguing over the intenet over something as small as this is pointless. You could be using your energy to fight for better causes like fixing corruption in government or state or how we could better fix the economy. Things that can make a difference.
Anyways I know from reading your comments that I cannot sway you and neither you me. I have spent too much time on this so I say goodbye and wish you well I suppose.

Uhm, you don't know whether i DO use my energy for "better causes" or not. You just make the mistake everyone makes. You assume and judge based on the assumption.
Regarding the "not open to any other interpretation" bit you threw my direction:
For one, there is nothing in the sense of "any other interpretation", because the statement is clearly given by the semantics of this sentence and the context in which it is portrayed in the public, there's no room for "any other interpretation" because that room would have to be earned by a better worded statement.
Oh, and there's something else that comes to mind:
An open mind is an unguarded, defenseless castle.
Of course i'm not being swayed easily, i'm not a drunk!

1) That was completely uncalled for.
2) Don't make fun of OCD. It's an incredibly serious disease that makes a person's life much, much harder. It's not something to throw around as a joke.

I understand, I just found it a bit hypocritical of you reprimanding him for making fun of a disease by making fun of another disease.
It's ok, just try not to let it happen again. OCD's not some joke.

1. She (Kellycutie) was just trying to defend her friend. Even if she went about it in completely the wrong way, you still have to respect her intentions.
2. I have both Asperger's AND OCD. (Yes, it is diagnostically possible to have both, and yes, I have been diagnosed with both, and am on medication for the latter.) You are right about the fact that even "mild" cases of OCD (like mine) can be debilitating. However, I take WAY more offense to people like CalebKane, who has implied in both of his comments, that she (Shortwired) can't "really" have Asperger's just because she has a positive outlook about it.

I was just taking offense to the fact that she was reprimanding someone for making fun of a disease....by making fun of a disease. Hypocritical much?
I found both the posts offensive, I'd agree.

You DF...
There's a complete difference between "having a positive outlook" and "going around, waving around and taunting the Asperger's diagnosis like a motherfucking coat of arms".
Someone who takes pride(sic!) and does make a LOGO, a fucking LOGO for that, does not the first one, but the second one.
And yes, i cannot see in any way how this misbehavior could ever be seen being positive.
