Here is the long awaited tutorial on making a proper top hat. Aka no cardboard in said hat.I apologize for taking so long to get this tutorial out. It takes abit to make a top hat from scratch. Especially when you work.

Hello again so I have put my felt on the side crown and crown, but I am noticing my brim seems more oval then circular is this ok or did i do it wrong? thanks lisa

It's just in the pattern. It's known as MaddHatter style.

What pattern did you use to make this? Or do you have measurements on how big make the pieces?

Measurements depends on the size of your head. You could use the pictures of the pattern I did for it as a reference. But overall measurements depend on how big and tall you want the hat to be overall.
