Description
My first tutorial. I quite enjoyed making it and will probably make more in the future. (Any tips on making them better?)I spent quite a while trying to work out how to make this coat but it ended up being really simple.
If you have any questions about things I wasn't too clear about just leave a comment and I'll answer the best I can.
And that really did happen on Power Rangers. There was also a large bear and a giant deer.

any chance of you giving any instructions on how to make a munny trench coat? (y'know, like this but done up at the front, without being a robe? tell you what, have a look at the character Rorschach if ur unsure)

Ooookaay, after a day of messing about with fabric I admit defeat. I can't figure out an easy way of making a trench coat like Rorschach's. I think you'll just have to follow normal people-sized instructions and shrink em down.

A Challenge!!
I've got some free time this week so I'll see what I can do.
(My camera's broken too so it'll have to be done with a web cam but I'll have a crack anyway.)

Your best bet is to find a hood making tutorial. This one should be helpful. [link]

This is so helpful! I'm not entirely sure what a munny is (though I'm going to find out now ^-^) but this will be super useful in clothing my Puki. Thank you so much!

I have no idea what a Puki is but as long as it's arms aren't too long, this should work well for it.

Puki's are tiny resin dolls with fairly short arms. I'm hoping for a cap sleeve looking coat.

Cool tute. I've been doing some soft doll making and just got my first Munny to experiment with. I sew, but I find the scale of dolls and stuff really challenging to work with, I'm going to try your tute to see if maybe I'm just doing too much work when I make garments for such small figures using dressmaker techniques!

Thanks!
I'm guessing that this tute will work for any doll that keeps its arms pretty close to its sides. You would need to add real sleeves for a doll like your "Poppet".
I'm thinking about doing a tute for sticking hair on a munny pretty soon. We'll see if I do it fast enough for your munny project.

Oh yeah, for the poppet I would just do a proper sleeve, for sure
Take your time with a hair tute, I've got about 3 projects to finish first!

I've always thought that tutorials more than anything else are hard to put together, but you've done a good job with it.

Thanks!
I think the hardest part is working out what you have to tell people and what you can leave out.
That and remembering to take photos at all stages.

Always hard part with the photos at all stages, I hate having to do it.
