I made this tutorial because some people were asking me how to use a sewing machine. I really hope it helps =/ I'm not really sure I answered all the questions. But I hope it helps!Related content

That's cool! I always forget wicht way I have to put in the bobbin! Then I put it in the wrong way and get like spaghetti from the yarn... Thanks for that!

I'm not supposed to know... even though I was practically told that it would be coming in the mail) So I'm super excited when I get to start sewing and your tutorial is gonna help me soooo much with starting out ^_^

hahaha! what's even funnier is that it came in the mail today and they didn't even put it in a separate box! it's in the sewing machine box with the address sticker stuck to the top of it! So much for that surprise! when I told my mom she said for me to hide it from myself... tehe, i just thought I'd share this wonderful story with you ^_^

Oh I am so happy this is here I was trying to read the manual and Was Looooooost this is beautiful in my eyes Im annoyed at my model tho it's holder for the spool is really loose

Hmm have you tried taking a screwdriver to tighten the screws? Otherwise if it's a new model that could be how it's set, but i've never seen it be loose as you said.

The stool falls off so I have a feeling its cause its a small one

Oh if the spool falls off then it's cause you definately have the wrong size. Most models do use small, but I guess yours requires a medium or a large. Luckily spools (bobbins as they are known as) are cheap and cost maybe like 2 bucks for a package of 4.

Oh I see. Nothing wrong with that. It's better to take your time than to rush it anyway. So if you have to go slower, then so be it.
I have friends it drives them nuts when I sew, because I don't have steady hands at all. They shake horribly when i'm sewing by hand, and it's not from a disability or anything, it's just how i've always been and they are like..."...She's got shakey hands, and still sews faster than us by hand." LOL. Can I help it if I was sewing by hand long before I even used a sewing machine? XD

I bet! my dad gets nervous about me but for now I'll settle for ball tipped pins the others hurt soo much when tring to use them

I'm actually about to start learning how to sew, and my machine is due to arrive this week (actually, I believe it's the one used in this tutorial o.O If not, it's a very similar Brother model.), and I was looking for a tutorial on dA for how to use it when it gets here. And I found it in this! Thank you so much! It's an amazing reference.

Most brother models tend to be exceedingly similar, so i'm pretty sure this should help you atleast enough to where you can use it right away.
