Description
The road that runs through RAF Davidstow. Changed it to black and white since it decided to snow and it was rather bleak and cold up there. Bit spontaneous since I was set up with my tripod in the middle of the road so I couldn't exactly stay for long.Related content

Such a contrast to the day I had today, that is so harsh and bleak.

It's been sunshine then snowing like a bastard here today. Very strange! Snow didn't pitch though else I'd have been throwing snowballs and running up Brown Willy with a bin bag!

Not too many around actually. Typically they are only around in their masses when I take the dog up. Today I didn't take her up and it was pretty sheep-less.

Yes, and have a mooch in the RAF museum while your there (it's free, the Military museum next to it isn't). It's rather a gem of a place.

It's along from the cheese factory, on the same side. Nice people who run it. I've helped them out on a few pieces they've got in there.

Sort off. Helped obtain a WWII engine from a crappy shed that the NCDC had stuck it in since it was uncovered off Bude Bay about 15 years ago. I helped clean the gunk off and reseached the pilot.
Photography wise; I'd trying to see what documents of the old WWII buildings up there and do a photographic record of them. Then maybe they'll be keen to display them there.
You ever Google Earth Davidstow? It looks pretty impressive from an aerial perspective.

Will do. I need some maps first! They've got some good ones of the place when it was in use by the RAF but I'll see if I can find anything more detailed.
