Even better whenever I went SLI with the latest Graphics Card many months ago. XD

These things costed me 700$ each. XD

These are only 770's... I was SO excited once I went SLI with 2 of these bad boys last year. :3Β

Why you don't go SLI with 3 of these?

3-way SLI is possible with gtx 1080's, but it wont necessarily work on any games and it wont even recognize a third one. SLI is kinda a hit and miss for most games out there because it's so hard for developers to implement. XD

Still loving this.

Next rig custom liquid cooled loop?
I decided to. Absolute 0/10 in convenience and practicality, 10/10 in aesthetics though.

I actually am going to go ahead and just go with heatsink water cooling because that it SO much safer. x3

KiOWA213 In reply to ShutterflyEQD [2016-03-20 01:30:50 +0000 UTC]

Like an AIO?
I'm not too worried about leaks, knowing I put it all together can only blame myself if something goes wrong HAHA.

I think for my next rig hopefully in the far far future (as this costed a squillian dollars) I'll go an AIO. So much more practical than thaving to drain a custom loop and remove all the hard tubing if you need to get a component out. plus ongoing maintenance of the coolant, but I dont mind doing that.
I was going to go soft tubing as this is my first water cooled build, but I though what the heck might as well go all out on this thing and try bending hard line tubing and include the 970's in the loop.

What's it like to build a PC? I really wanna try it someday. ;-;

ShutterflyEQD In reply to CamChao [2016-01-25 19:08:25 +0000 UTC]

It's quite a tasking job if you're a first time builder because you have to buy certain parts to make every piece of the hardware satisfied/compatible.

CamChao In reply to ShutterflyEQD [2016-01-26 02:10:51 +0000 UTC]

I read from a lot of people that they were scared of breaking their processors for their first time inserting them.

wut, No. o3o
I don't plan on going SLI, and it probably won't be until much later this year when I'm able to even buy parts. XD (I saved a list of parts on PCPartPicker, which isn't giving me any compatibility errors, so I feel good about it )

Well what are you talking about? What did you mean it will break your computer?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CamChao In reply to ShutterflyEQD [2016-01-27 00:08:35 +0000 UTC]

Oh. No, I was just saying I've read online posts from other people saying that they freaked out when trying to install their CPU because of things like cracking noises and the... thing that keeps the CPU in place (idk what it's called) taking a lot of force to close.

Sorry for the confusion. ^^

I hope I'm that lucky when I get to build my first PC. ;-;

ShutterflyEQD In reply to CamChao [2016-01-27 02:33:58 +0000 UTC]

You will... but I must say that STAY AWAY FROM ASROCK. I actually gotten a defective motherboard from them once and I had so many issues with crashes/freezing and such.
What you should go for is Asus if you're looking for a motherboard.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CamChao In reply to ShutterflyEQD [2016-01-27 04:25:40 +0000 UTC]

Ah, okay.
I already made a list of parts a long time ago, so I'll ask, would the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard be a good choice? If it helps to know, the CPU I'll get is AMD FX-6300 and the GPU I'll get is EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW. I plan on using the build to play Source games (TF2, CSGO, Dota 2, etc.), Skyrim, League of Legends, and Overwatch, and to use Source Filmmaker.

Sorry if I'm bothering you with all this.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ShutterflyEQD In reply to CamChao [2016-01-27 16:45:05 +0000 UTC]

You're not bothering. x3

I recommend Intel though for a processor because AMD dies a lot faster, even though it's cheaper and you will have more problems with an AMD processor.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CamChao In reply to ShutterflyEQD [2016-01-27 21:36:44 +0000 UTC]

All right. So, I found an Intel CPU (i5-6500), but I'm having trouble deciding on what Asus motherboard to go with. I found one called "B150 PRO GAMING D3" and I decided to Google it to learn more about it, but uh... I'm not sure what to think of it. It seems like a really nice motherboard for gaming, but I'm concerned about this thing it has called "Sonic Radar II," which is an overlay for games that displays sounds (eg. footsteps) and shows where the sound is coming from, or something like that. I'm worried about having that detected as a cheat and getting banned for it, even if I have it turned off.

(If you wouldn't mind talking more about this stuff, would you rather talk in notes, or are comments fine?)

ShutterflyEQD In reply to CamChao [2016-01-27 22:29:49 +0000 UTC]

Lets continue with notes. NOTE me and I'll tell you which motherboard should be good. x3

What is the current card you have right now? I mean, you could always go SLI... if your motherboard supports it.

I'm currently having a custom computer built to handle my love of inks cape in that Inks cape is a good program to tortureΒ  a old computer with 4 GB's of ram.

When you do heavy gaming is it the ram or the CPU that slow the game down first?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ShutterflyEQD In reply to OceanRailroader [2015-09-15 17:44:21 +0000 UTC]

Graphic heavy games LOVE to eat up most of your GPU (graphics card, Graphics Processing Unit)... although your CPU still matters a whole lot too because with more cores on your CPU, you areΒ
able to process much more information at a faster rate... resulting in better performance.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

OceanRailroader In reply to ShutterflyEQD [2015-09-15 20:41:40 +0000 UTC]

The CPU I'm getting is a FX with eight cores and 32GB to 64GB of ram. The CPU I have on my old system is a two core processor from 2008.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ShutterflyEQD In reply to OceanRailroader [2015-09-15 20:52:28 +0000 UTC]

Oh I see you're going for AMD/ATI... i've always been with Intel and one of these years I plan to get an eight core core i7 which are $1,000. x3

You're not building the system yourself from the ground up though?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

OceanRailroader In reply to ShutterflyEQD [2015-09-16 16:56:09 +0000 UTC]

Originally I was going to replace the motherboard on this HP computer I had by myself but what happened was HP has a thing on the hard drive that stops you from replacing the motherboard. And after that I bought a new hard drive and then a new operating system. And well pretty much the project changed over to me having the computer shop build me a new computer with a new case and everything.

The trouble I had with my original plan was a dud motherboard and software troubles.

I heard that FX is gong to release a newe CPU with eight cores that will be 40% more powerful then their most powerful model next year.
