Anyways, I hate giving all the ‘Bots the same optic color. It bugs me for some reason so I gave every mech their own color.
This is mostly a guide I made to keep myself straight, but it was fun to do
I would've added more of the guys but I ran out of room D:

the twins are very interesting and intriguing that they got rare optics
but who's the guy above blaster and next to wheeljack?
the concept is very impressive and gives even more character, charisma, and soul to the already very much alive cast, to the point where i wish i could meet them in person
may i ask how you do the shiny on the energized optic nerve? it's very hypnotizing!

actually you make mirage quite handsomely young here, which is not a bad change at all 
and i read the 4th chapter of Apples and Ashes where you mentioned some of the optic colors and it just made the images in my head all the more clearer (esp the twins and optimus)
bah, i should take a look at bee's face every day, his smile's enough to get me grinning even when i'm dying of sleep

I could see that. Many people say they're the most Decepticon like of the Autobots. I don't read the comics so I wouldn't know.
Anyway, this makes the Autobot designs more interesting since they don't all look the same.

True, Mirage did start out neutral, and I don't think your optic colour would change magically when you put on an insignia...

you can use that on tf Armada optics colors too, because if you look they have all diferent colors even in the Decepticons optics. But I have my theory for that series I think is something on the years that they have or in the rank, because the most olders like Scavenger or Optimus has yellow optics, and in second place others like smokescreen and red alert have red optics, and the most youngers have diferent intensities of blue like Hotshot, Sideswipe and Wheeljack.

thanks ^^ I have a lot of years thinking on that, specially after I saw that in the other tfs series some characters changes the colors of their eyes and well in G1, the Movie and now in Animated the Autobots only have blue eyes and the Decepticons red.

Definitely an interesting color guide, though not quite accurate. Many Autobots had optic colors completely off that chart, including red, silver, yellow, etc. Also, it was only in the cartoon that the Dinobots had blue optics. In their toy forms, as well as every comic depiction, they have red optics, not blue.

That's probably true but I was pretty much going by the cartoon versions as a reference. Not the comics really.
