Description
These are the flesh monsters from the game, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. I'm doing a drawing idea trade withnot sure what I wan't him to draw yet, maybe something to do with Cthulhu.
Anyhow, not my best piece ever, thats for sure, butit was still fun to draw these little deformed pig monsters. I think the sky is the best part of the picture.

One of the weapon you get in the game is a Beretta 92 (known as the M-9 in military nomenclature). There are four pistols, all 9mm. Two are 9mm Parabellum (9x19mm, aka 9mm Luger). Two are 9mm Makarov (9x18mm). They all have equal effectiveness (not very much) but have different capacities. The first halfway decent weapon you acquire is the TOZ-34, a 12-gauge over/under shotgun. Being a civilian type hunting shotgun, it was given the nickname "grandfather gun." I'm hoping you can saw it off and keep it as a sidearm/backup weapon instead of a pistol. No confirmation on that yet.
Most of the rifles you can get are assault rifles that can accept attachments such as scopes, sound supressors, and modular grenade launchers. The FN F2000 is one of these. Its standard sight is a scope and it can accept a 40mm NATO-type grenade launcher. The most common weapon is the AK-47 which can accept a scope, sound suppressor, and GP-25 grenade launcher. The GP-25 is 40mm but unlike a NATO grenade launcher (such as an M-203 or the F2000's launcher, etc.), it takes caseless grenades. Caseless grenades use self-contained propellant rather than being encased in a cartridge with a disposible casing. They also load down the muzzle rather than being loaded from the breach, making them more difficult to load. The GP-25 and GP-30 grenade launchers have very short barrels. In fact, lo0king down the muzzle of a loaded GP-25, the end of the grenade is right there almost peering out the muzzle!
All grenade launchers have rifles bores. Most game designers don't understand how grenade launchers work. Launched grenades would not blow up in your face if fired into a wall. This is because these types of grenades arm themselves in-flight via rotation. The spinning caused by the rifling in the bore of the launcher causes the grenade to arm itself a certain distance after launch. This spin also make the grenade more accurate and gives it greater range.

For the shotgun, it's probably nine pellets which is realistic since the standard combat load is 2.75" 12-gauge #00 buckshot which has a payload of nine pellets each .33 caliber in diameter. Since Airsoft pellets are 6mm, they might be able to fit more than nine in there, but I'm not positive on that. There are such things as Short Magnums which are standard-length (2.75") 12-gauge rounds that contain 12 pellets of #00 buck instead of nine. Three-inch Magnums also typically have a payload of 12 pellets but some have a payload of 15. Sellier & Bellot makes both. Then there are 3.5" Super Magnums, in 12-gauge, which have payloads comparible to a 10-gauge.

Beautiful work, despite the ugly creatures. I love the colors and tones here.
