Description
When Spring is in the air, it's time to draw Florie!- Florie, Gawain's second wife, is a (much beloved - by myself
Florie's clothes are inspired by the illuminations in the 11th-century manuscript of the Life of St Radegonde.
This was drawn as a contest entry for the 'Ladies of Spring' contest at #Female-Kingdom .
Media: mechanical pencils + colour pencils in an A5 Moleskine sketchbook. (Real size of the drawing is 13 x 21 cm.)

Carlisle! Not only I visited it (Richard III was once there, so...) but it reminds me also of the The English Ladye and The Knight, which I know through a song by Loreena McKennitt.
Florie looks truly delicious here! I can't wait to read about her...

Beautiful spring colors! I really love the sense of movement here--excellent job on the folds in her robe! I also love the background! She is so pretty, but in a playful way--must be the freckles! I also like that you made her a brown eyed blonde--different!

Aw, this makes me wish summer would hurry and get here! (Our summer is like spring here in Pullman; we have no spring.) I love the dusting of freckles across her nose and cheeks.
