Description
Meet Gawain's third wife, Lady Kundry, also known as l'Orgueilleuse de Logres ("The haughty maiden of Logres") or la Mauvaise Pucelle ("The evil maiden"). There, now you know why she doesn't look that cuddlesomeKundry is wearing a 12th-century bliaut and fitting hairstyle, all tuned in to ChrΓ©tien's universe. I probably got the colours all wrong, though...

Beautiful as always.
I'm curious how you're going to work all of Gawain's marriages into the story (or are you just going to choose one wife for the project?).

I have settled for three - with Ragnell, Florie and Kundry. The Grand Plan is to tell the major Gawain tales, including Gawain & Ragnell, the Carl of Carlyle (I guess that's not so major, but I want it in - Florie is the Carl's daughter in my tale) and the Grail Quest according to ChrΓ©tien/Wolfram. It's ... fairly ambitious?
But I don't mind if it's the only comic I ever make. I'm willing to give this story everything I have; it's so dear to me.
I'm glad you're enjoying the material!

Ah, I see. Well then I look forward to how you'll fit everything together. It's a story that needs to be told, so go for it!
I'm a bit of a chronology/continuity freak, so I always hoped someone someday would combine of all the stories into a sort of ultimate tale of King Arthur, instead of just taking bits here and there from the mythos. Your project is a bit of a dream come true for me.
Plus, Gawain is the star of the show! As it should be. (Lancelot can sod off).

I completely agree! As a child, I used to be a Lancelot fangirl, but I'm glad to say I've outgrown him .
If you're a chronology/continuity freak, you may not like the fact that I'm going to do something strange to time in my story. Or, well, you might like it. The thing is: I don't want to adapt the stories to fit in one historical period. I want them all. So I'm starting in the 6th century, but I will end the saga in the 13th century (or the 15th, depending on whether I decide to do the downfall or not). I mean, I'm not going to say, "this is the 13th century" - I don't use dates - but you'll see the style and fashion and society change. The idea is to give a sense of, or acknowledge, the enduring nature of the stories.
But that's something of a ... gimmick? I mean, it's just background. What I hope to do is to forge a story that makes sense of as many traditional elements as possible. I'm making choices, which is unavoidable, but I hope to tie together the major stories as best I can .

I've always had a soft spot for her. The savage damsels are always the fun ones.
Love her expression - so snooty! Beautiful colouring too.

Thank you!
Yes, Luned and Kundry are my favourites. The knights are clearly afraid of them .

The soft blues, teals and sea greens suit her very well. She looks so deceptively innocent...

Thank you!
I thought cool colours would suit her best - and make for a strong contrast with her mouth .

Kundry? Oh my, I only listened at Wagner's opera and Perceval is the only Chretien's romance I miss. Is she really Gawain's wife?
I love your drawing.
<3 This womand is very beautiful (but I'll never love her more than Ragnelle X3)

Thank you!
Well, Ragnell is ... I don't know ... more humorous? Kundry is difficult to love; she is so nasty. But I'm fond of her anyway.
She does indeed marry Gawain, after he has promised to fight her arch-enemy. There is of course none of that in the Wagner opera because Wagner cut the Gawain storyline entirely ...
