This drawing reminds me of Victorian illustrations of novels.

Keep it up!

Thank you!

I'm a Victorianist, so that influence is definitely not a coincidence ...

I find it does look like those old fairytale illustrations,it especially reminds me of something like Rackham's or Dulac's work.
It's a very lovely painting in any case.

Thanks!

It's funny - I wasn't too fond of it at first, but I've grown to like this picture in the meantime. I only wish I hadn't made the trees in the background quite so dark.

Hmm,personally i don't see anything wrong with them..But i believe the artist knows better.

The portraits are up on LJ and blogspot . I still can't decide to what extent to mix my fannish and non-fannish art... So far I haven't posted any of my Gaulish stuff here, but I'm wondering...

Glad you like this one, though .

I have had many problems in watching your blogspot, recently. The page loads very slowly, images doesn't open... do you have similar problems?

Yanno... I'm used to you using a LOT more black in your pictures, I almost didn't recognise your style!

Sigune In reply to blue-nadir [2008-05-04 21:54:03 +0000 UTC]

Heh. I've been experimenting with watercolour a lot these past weeks, so I haven't been using any black at all! It's quite a change for me too, but it's fun...

This is not the kind of picture I would have made without prompting. It's actually a commission that was rejected, but I thought it a nice picture anyway .
