This picture of young Snape is a counterpart to my Marauders portrait, and inspired by OotP's "Snape's Worst Memory" chapter.Felt tips and ecoline on Bristol board.

Mmmmno. Actually they ought to be black, but that would have been a bit too much so I opted for grey paint. Artistic licence? *g*

Those heavy boots are so great *laughs* he really looks like a kind of rebel with this mixture of clothing, the oldfashioned robe and the modern boots

No, seriously - I did want him to have something rebellious (he's already refusing to wash his hair) in his clothing, and to mix wizard and Muggle things.
As to colour, I'm not very daring, am I? I'm so bad at combining colours that I like to stick to black, white, grey and red

Sometimes one single color in contrast to black and white does much more than a full colored piece - and this is something very rare here in DA

That's good...sometimes I point things out and people say "BLLAAAARGGGHHH!!! fhj;fsjh;djgsdgkdg!!!" and such rants and then I crawl up in a corner crying saying "I just want to help!!" But then again I tend to make those mistakes myself...so then I can try to fix them too

I think I've seen this before, uncoloured, on your journal. Yay teenage Snape! How can anyone be so angry and still survive? How's the comic going?
I like the diagonal line you've made of his body, from his shoe through to his left shoulder. It gives the whole picture dynamism. Good twist to his body too, though maybe his right toe is turned a little too far to the right - I don't know, it's hard to tell where he's got his weight on it. Are you drawing the boots from real life? Maybe they need a tiny bit of shadow where they meet the floor? The back boot is spot on.
And I've just finished trying to do hair in black and white and all kudos to you. You make it look so *&%$ effortless! %$&*& hair! Your Snape's hair is both beautiful yet greasy. Stop making me love Snape!

I don't remember posting this on my LJ... But there is an uncoloured version, so you are probably right.
The comic is at a temporary standstill - I have to give priority to my job right now; but I have to finish the last pages pretty soon to make my deadline. I'm getting nervous about finishing it in time 
I looked at the picture again and found I'm not sure where I imagined the weight to be, LOL... That must be a bad sign. I think I probably meant it to be on the left leg, like a sort of contraposto from the back. It's entirely possible that the right foot is turned too much to the right; but I would say in my defence that this is a drawing made two years ago when I was only just figuring out how to draw shoe-clad feet properly; I would have been happy enough that it didn't look particularly odd!
I don't think I've ever drawn boots or shoes from life - in fact I don't draw anything from life, though I'd want to. But most of the time I do have shoes that look vaguely like the ones I picture.
Thanks for the tip about the shadow! I'm pretty useless with shadows in general; I think you can tell that from my comic as well
As for the hair - um - I just read lots of comics, and that's where I get my tricks
Finally: I'm sorry to have to tell you, but making people love Snape is one of my missions in life, so I must unfortunately disregard your order

I have to draw from life. I'm so jealous of those who can make up what they want.
Well, I'll just have to read the books if I want to hate Snape again like I should. Right now he's busy 'loathing' lovely Lupin. "Write an essay on the ways you recognise and kill werewolves." Not just recognise, but KILL them! How to kill your teachers.... that would just have given me ideas when I was at school
